I hate it when I go into a store, pay for my purchase, and when the clerk hands e my change, it is almost always the bills first with the cheange on top. What kind of stupid system is that? The change is then free to slide off as you try and put the bills away first. It would be much better if they handed you the change first as it would sit nicely in the palm of your hand and then give you the bills on top.
I used to work in retail and I it took me all of 3 days on the job to realize that this was a superior method of change handling, yet it universally seems to be done the other way.

I totally agree with you. I too am much peeved by that and I just don't understand it. I think it's because people think in terms of: here's your change, 4 dollars and 18 cents. So they hand it to you in that order. It makes no practical sense though for exactly the reasons you stated. I used to work in a restaurant and would oftentimes have to work the register. I would always give the coins first then the bills. The most irritating, though, is when they give it to you all at once with the change already stacked on top of the bills. When that happens, I usually will give a few friendly tips to the person working the register.

Like, you should wear shorter skirts or something like that. You know, useful advice.

Yeah, the whole stack of change thing is the worst. Then I don't want to be a douchebag and hold up the line trying to put the money in my wallet/pocket(old people are terrible for this) so I move out of the way and have to juggle my purchase and my disorderly mess of change and bills, which I usually just end up crumpling into a ball and stuffing in my pocket.

I thought I'd post this cuz usually I have NOTHING of interest to post here.

So I do some occasional extra work for a local production company. It's pretty cool cuz although I am just an "extra", I still get pretty decent camera time in some of the shows. That's cuz the 2 shows I work on a crime and natural disaster reenactment shows, so although I am acting and talking during the scenes, you never hear my crummy dialogue because they use the scenes to narrate certain points of the story which the narrator tells. So it's a way for schmucks like myself who can't act to get into the industry a bit. I've played a lot of cops and detectives as well as a drug addict (had to learn how to freebase coke for a scene once lol).

So anyway, I get a call asking if I can do some work next week for a few hours. The kicker is that the scene takes place with many strippers. So I was pretty stoked about that. I asked if I would have to strip, fortunately the answer was no. I asked if the girls were gonna gear down, and unfortunately the answer was no as well. In any case, it should be interesting.

For the millions, and millions of people who want to see my shows, they're only shown on the History Channel in Canada me thinks, sorry ladies

Having pirated both Canadian and US satellite, i must say I like US programming better, but Canadian porn is better...except for the gay porn channel

According to my friend, it's a PITA to hack it here. Too many problems and stuff. Security measure and hackblockers are also a lot tougher to beat now. My friend used to just get free pay-per-view by wiping the PPV memory clean off of his card every once in a while. But now there's no practical way to get into the card anymore... at least not that my friend knows of anyway.

I'm not even sure if I can get a good canadian signal here. I bet I could for some stuff cuz I'm kind of like middle north. Not too far from the southern border of Canada.

DirecTv is pretty much a lost cause, but DishNetwork is a piece of cake as it is based off the same hardware and software as Bell(Canadian). You could probably get a great signal for Cdn. Sat. as the sat's are still about the same place in the sky. I used to get a better signal with DTV than with Bell, which was kinda weird. Again, I mean my friend did all these things.

hmmm. I should probably tell my friend to invest in DN. He's Borrowing DTV right now. Is there a major difference in programming for DTV to DN or pretty much the same?

I'm not sure, but I'm betting they are pretty similar. I've never had DN before but I know ppl that have had it and liked it. Only drawback is to receive EVERY channel you might need either a 2nd dish or a 33" or eliptical dish.

It's ok your not missing much. The hottest scene I ever saw was where this girl and guy were having sex behind a big desk. You know the ones hostesses stand behind at fancy restaurants. People kept walking by and apparently saw nothing.

Not that it's a great movie, but it is enjoyable if you're in the right mood. The first is horrible by comparison, I think. I actually own the DVD cuz I got it for like $4 in a clearance bin. Haven't watched it since i've owned it, though, and it's been a few years.

I'm actually hooked up with Sat right now, I just can't get PPV. But I don't care that much anyway. and actually, I don't usually watch much TV nowadays anyway.
