QUOTE(closeup @ Nov 11 2007, 11:21 PM)
Here's the scene, I'm sitting in a pool hall watching Indy lose to San Diego. It's about 10:30pm and it seems everyone is pretty mellow. This blond chick comes up to the bar and stands right beside me. I can tell she's pretty drunk but she's not slurring or stumbling around. Just drunk enough to be noticeable and sort of obnoxious. Anyway, she's giving the bartender a load of shit, while at the same time rubbing up against me. Now, I'm pretty good friends with the bartender, so I sort of pull away from her pressing against me and start siding with the bartender. It gets to the point where the bartender(who's maybe 5'3", 120lbs) tells this woman that she has to leave. This really pisses off the woman, who turns to me and starts to try to recruit me into her side of the argument. I'm not gonna side with her drunk ass in a million years and tell her so. She picks up her wine glass and throws the wine at the bartender who's standing maybe two feet in front of her. 3/4 of a glass right in the face. Then she runs out before any of the bouncers can get upstairs. I probably could have caught her if I gave chase, but she had a pretty good head-start down the stairs before I even realized what happened. As pissed as the bartender was, and she was pretty pissed, I told her that if that drunk chick would have splashed wine all over my leather jacket, I would have throttled her. It just as easily could have been me. But the difference would have been I'd have chased that drunken broad till I caught her. Both the bartender and I will certainly recognize her if she ever comes back.

Angry, obnoxious drunk girls...as annoying as it gets.

A few items;
* The number one complaint with matchmaker agencies is that the women are ultra picky, they are hung up on looks overlooking character and personality. Quite often I hear women say "I want a cute guy" or "I want a good looking guy" On that merit, it is only fair for guys to suggest a girl with pretty boobs. "I want a girl with pretty boobs", or "I want a girl with beautiful big boobs".
* Every now and then I hear a woman say, "well, you can't afford me". As though they are Anna Nicole Smith testifying on the bench "It's expensive being me" trying to justify a ten thousand dollar a week shopping spree life. The truth of the matter is this, I don't need to afford you. Do you not know silly girl, that there are women, much younger, much more youthful looking that are 8's, 9's and perfect 10's in Ukraine, Russia, Czech, Romania, Japan, that would be simply happy to go to the grocery store with me, enjoy dinner at my place and be completely satisfied with the genuine interest in them and listen to their conversation? If I'm going to afford anything, it's my time and money with them!
* I attend private car enthusiasts coffee meets that always entail high end sports cars. One owner began to talk about his dislike for fake cars such as the kit-car Countach and Diablo. I stood there in disbelief, looking at his wife adorning a huge rack of fake tits. Did this guy actually know what he was saying?
* I can't prove it with scientific data, but there seems to be a correlation with increased upright, rude people and the amount of Starbucks that have popped up in recent years.
* Mtv isn't anymore. I got to YouTube to watch my music videos.

well this is intersting A friend of mine did seriously hit a dog last night did probably 3000 damage to his truck , he is sick about killing the dog but he didnt stop becuase 1. it was fucking cold out and 2. there was no lights on in the house 3. because he called his nephew the state patrolmen and he told him its the owners job to keep the dog off the road and actually its the dog owners responsibility to pay to fix the vehicle , but he felt so bad about the dog that he didnt want to make the owner pay for his truck . however the state police was there this morning and wrote up a report and most likely his insurance company will go after the owner of the dog for at least half the repairs . Not saying its right but at times things are not as they appear . we used to have cattle out and one night we had 2 cars hit and kill 6 cows , we paid for both there vehicles and we lost $6000 in cattle . as a criminal justice major i can tell you that the reason the "alleged" is in there is because our justice system relies on the notion that everyone is innocent until PROVEN guilty. Now there isn't much doubt he will be found guilty but until its official they have to refer to him as alleged

its not just ridicule. should they say that he is the shooter and not the alleged shooter the can be sued for slander because he technically isn't yet. Not only that but they can cause a mistrial on the grounds of a biased jury that walked into the trial thinking he is guilty. If that happens the bad guy walks and no one wants that.

804,320x50 inmates=402,160,000 dollars

Remember, this is coming from a Canadian:
I personally feel that life would be better with more strict gun rules. Don't get me wrong, guns for hunting (which I don't like, but can tolerate) is fine. But owning a gun that you can carry around is nuts!
In Canada (at least Manitoba), rules are soooo strict. If you have a gun, it has to be for hunting or shooting range purposes. And in order to transport said gun, you have to go and get a specific license for that specific time. When the gun is not in use it has to be kept in a safe at home, and when transported in your car it has to kept in a safe there too.
I just feel overall more safe having guns be illegal to carry around. I realize that yes, most gun owners are responsible and wouldn't go around shooting people, BUT it still does raise the possibility having them so readily available.
A story from when I first moved down here:
My cousin, his gf, my little brothers (8 and 10), and I were driving home from a state fair at night. My cousin was driving, and accidentally cut someone off. He waved an apology but the guy went nuts, drove up beside us (on oncoming traffic) and forced him to pull over meanwhile screaming the whole time. He got out of the car screaming, swearing etc towards us. My cousin and his gf were quiet and not saying anything. So I got angry and yelled back him to leave us alone, and that there were little kids in the car etc etc. Finally he left, and I asked why they were so quiet during it. He went on to remind me that guns are legal in the US, and you never know who has one (we weren't in the best neighborhood) so to be careful who you yell at. I would NEVER have thought about that, or worried about that. So was just a surreal moment.
Anywho, thats my thoughts! Different culture, different beliefs! No offense intended. I may be biased as I've never held a gun, or even seen one other than on a cop.
Another note: I was at a bar one time, and there was a shooting that night with the guy beside me getting shot in the foot. I may also be biased that way as well >.<
I hope you all don't think lesser of me for this!

I know I own lots of guns and i respect your opinion. I believe in the right to bare arms and I'm also a responsible gun owner. Very tough subject this day and age. Especially when people are shooting people for the hell of it. But for that same reason i carry one with me because IMO I have the right to protect myself against the gun yielding idiots.

WOW a civil discussion on guns....i love it...i do respect everyones opinion and love to hear it...i love my guns but also respect people that have different views...i have used my carry gun 3 times but have never fired it during a confrontation...i am so glad of that...it was the fact that i had a gun that stopped the situation from escalating into something that may have caused me to be in a position to defend myself with deadly force...in my state the anal probing that you go through for a carry license is pretty severe...they know everything about you...when people ask me why i carry a gun i tell them its the same reason why you wear a seatbelt...when you get in your car do you expect to be in a car wreck???NO but you wear your seatbelt just incase...when i put my gun on everyday i do not expect to use it but i have it just incase....i hope i carry my gun for the rest of my days and never have to use it...but if i need it, it's there with me...the safety of my wife and children are far too important
