Straight through the Super Bowl and into Canton.
My last prediction until next fall. HOF class of 2011 Jerome Bettis and Brett Favre. There will be more but those are the 2 definites.

there is a difference between Rugby Union and Rugby Leage and I am pretty sure you are talking of Union... a sport which is truely hard to fathom even for an Aussie.
League is played pretty much only in Australia, New Zealand, England and some small island nations in the South Pacific. It is a tribal thing here on the east coast of Australia. Our national team played the "tomohawks" (A USA team) a few years back in an exhibition game somewhere in Philly

we get lots of rugby from all around the world in Canada. Rugby is a pretty big sport here. Not as big as Australia but it's growing.

The huge baseball fan that I am, I still understand that most people don't really understand the game nor appreciate the game for all that it is. I love watching a shutout and even the occasional no-hitter. Just imagine how "boring" it would be if they changed the mound back to where it was in in the 60's and prior. Oh the days when pitching dominated.

Ok, let's go over the ground rules. You can't leave first until you chug a beer. Any man scoring has to chug a beer. You have to chug a beer at the top of all odd-numbered innings. Oh, and the fourth inning is the beer inning.

We should have a Simpson's thread. There are enough good ones to run it up over a hundred pages. Here's one that could be sports related, and one of my all time favorites.
Homer: Remember, the first step in failing, is trying. The lesson is: Never try.
2nd All time: Burns: "Oh, I get your angle. Every Joe Meatball and Sally Housecoat in this God-forsaken state will see me hunkering down for chow with Eddie Punchclock. The media will have a field day."

Here's an old chestnut that's suddenly relevant again. Steelers & Dolphins tonight. (Steelers by 7, at least) The Patriots are again favored to win their division. Lynette, I've always wanted to be a wide receiver for the Patriots. I'm thinking I'll "Just Do It" the next game I go to at Foxboro. When Brady throws one into the end zone, I'll run onto the field and catch it. Watch the highlights of me catching it, then getting escorted off the field. I'll be sure and mention your name as my inspriation.
