The funny thting is that I didnt even realise!

The second funny thing is that Cloesup is probably surfing RMM with multiple windows to keep up with the ho's and posted it here accidentally laughing-smiley-017.gif

I would if I knew what a multiple window was. If I ever hit Powerball, I'm gonna find someone else to do this for me. I'll just take an afternoon nap on the sofa.

Yeah, it's played in like 20-25 states. It sometimes gets over 250-300 million. I think I saw somewhere that Australia was for sale for 200 million.I buy it and I'd still have 50-100 million left over to spend on quelling the uprising. I'd buy the Canadian Army for that and still have most of my 100 million left.

I think it's been discussed before but that amount of money is unbelievable!

Obviously because of the poppulation size. We have a 33 Million daollar draw this week and that's big news here! I guess work it out this way... 33 million is over 1 and a half times our poppulation, a similar draw for you guys would be 400-500 million?

I'm not sure what kind of math you're using here. What's the population of the place selling the ticket have to do with the eventual prize. If you were playing a scratch-off ticket and won $50,000, you wouldn't divide that by the population of the town you bought it in. Or maybe you would..... coz.gif

A scratch ticket is different I believe...

i could be wrong but how else does Powerball etc offer such large jackpots without the people playing?

I thought it was a way to put it into perspective... Australia = 20 million, USA = 250-300 million?
Gnappster
yeah, that's how the jackpots are offered here. number of tickets sold. more tickets...bigger jackpot.

Well, I guess if you look at it like this -if everyone in each country paid one dollar and only bought one ticket apeice, how much would the Jackpot be. Actually, someone dosen't win every week, it takes several weeks of nobody winning to get as high as 250 million. Now here's another one, A train leaves the station heading west at 40mph. At the same time another heads east at 30 mph, when will they pass each other?

QUOTE(closeup @ Dec 8 2006, 04:57 PM)
Here's something fucked-up that's happened 4-5 times in less than a month. Another moving companies toll-free number has the suffix 779 mine has 799. They've got MY number on the paperwork they're giving to their customers. These people are calling me all pissed off because they don't know where their furniture and stuff is. I just figured it out today after I check the website of the company everyone was mentioning. When I called them, the woman who answered couldn't get it thru her thick skull what I was trying to tell her. I think I got her to understand when I started using easy to understand words like "sue". Only time will tell.
*

This bullshit happened again today. Some guy leaving a message ranting and raving that he doesn't know where his furniture is. When I call the company he MEANT to call, the lady who answered said to me, and I quote, "Don't worry about it" Next to "Fuck Off", "Don't worry about it" was exactly the wrong thing to say to me. I'm gonna have someone's head on a platter before this is over.

Anyway........

I watched this moive on DVD a few weeks back called Hard Candy. It is kinda hard to give a synopsis without giving away the plot. Basically it is a thriller about a 14yr old girl and a 32 yr old guy who chat online deciding to meet in person. What ensues afterwards is the exact opposite of what you'd expect.

Watch it, a fucking top film!

Same thing happened to me once. I moved into an apartment & the office manager showed me a list of available phone numbers & of course, I picked the easiest one to remember & got calls at all hours of the night, thinking i was a pizza delivery or cab service. I started having fun with both & telling people I'd be there in 20 minutes, unplug the phone & go back to sleep. Eventually, I did change the number to get back to a sense of normality. As far as the movies go, I'm a sucker for love stories, with a twist. Most recently time travel films such as:
Lake House
Time Traveler's Wife
About Time

Hiya everyone (guys & girls)! Sooo, I was wondering if anyone here has seen the new Top Gun movie? I've heard that it's good. However, I've also heard that it is now in danger of being pulled from theatres due to copyright issues. So my question is, should I go watch it in theatres while I can or should I wait for it to come to a steaming service? Thoughts?

Definitely see it at the cinema . If you liked the first Top Gun , you’ll love this one .
Very much a similar theme but the action sequences are excellent . But see it on the big screen with all the Dolby cinema sound ..
