I am not wanting to do this at all, most the stuff I have been ok with next quarter have to disect cats not impressed either but will get bye but this is absolutely not ok. The teacher jokingly told us make sure our mouths are shut when we cut cause they squirt.

No not ok with the cat either and dont understand why a cat I am not gonna be a vet ironically rther do a cadaver of a adult than a cat. But I have seen them and stuff and I will get through it. the eyeball on the other hand is gonna be big and juicy and just sick. SO is the cat but at least all drained and stuff mainly just using the cats to learn the muscles.

up north they eat raw seal eyeballs like ice cream.

I was watching Survivorman which is a show about this dude who goes to all these remote locations and has to survive for 7 days or reach civilization and all he gets is like half an energy bar and a pocket knife and when he was in the arctic he got picked up by a dogsled team on the 7th day and they offered him the seal eyeball, he was so hungry he gladly ate it and said it wasn't bad.
That's my non sexual story of the day.

yeah our teacher is a bit out there and been to many countries and he was talking about how many places eat eyeballs and toungues well here I have heard of eating cow toungues as well.

For me it is anatomy and physiology I am in school to be a nurse

And they teach you to cut sheeps eyeballs???

It is more so about learning the parts of the eyeball so you have to take it apart I guess animals are easier and cheaper to get than cadavers.

You would be shock how many students are excited for todays lab. Me not one bit. But there are a lot that just love doing this stuff shoot the teacher himself loves dicecting things. Whatever floats your boat I guess.

I was meant to do it for one of my A-levels but it was around the time of the whole mad cow disease thing so the school wouldnt let us. In hind site im really really grateful for that

Noooooooo I got SOOOOOOO lucky the Lab Tech from the main campus forgot the eyeballs so it is postponed until next weeks lab which we will also be doing a pigs lungs and throat and heart

But at least all the yucky shit will be in one lab. Today instead we did lab stuff for senses.

here a list of everything i can remember disecting in college and high school. worm, frogs, sheep brain, fetal pigs, sheep eye, 3 yes 3 cats (i'm not a fan of cats), human cadaver.

and yes sometimes the eyes squirt

No not here that would be cool, they do in Tacoma well they do cadavers period but not in my county to cheap. And no watching autopsy either I heard we have one cadaver that the Teacher will take you to the slab to disect and stuff if you want but not sure if its true.

I hate to get serious here, but the vinyl is to help prevent latex allergic people from having reactions. I've seen people with serious latex allergies break out just from being in a room where latex was.

Well that I know cause we had them when working in daycares but we had BOTH. So those allergic had vinyl and whoever wanted latex could have that. Now it is like only vinyl:(

Autopsies aren't all they're cracked up to be. CAll your county ME/Coroner, you could probably attend an autopsy. Just be sure it is not of a child. The first autopsy is hard to attend but a child... horrible... sleep disrupting. The youngest I've attended was 17. Fortunately none of the really young child deaths I've investigated required my presence.

Yeah I dont think I could watch a child:( Where I live 99% of the deaths are of natural causes illness and that sort. Very rare to have a murder and accident now and than.

Good times WOMAN Bleck. It didn't was postponed until next wedns. lab cause the lab tech forgot the eyeballs so since we are doing a pigs heart and respiratory system than anyway we will do the eyeball

LOL no left them at the main campus our teacher told him he will have to rush back over and put them back in the cooler or next week will get a lot more interesting for us!!

To update on this, this past wends. was the day I though took no part in it. They did not even have masks I kept a nice distance and the smell was overwhelming I got close enough to the Eyeball to see it had eyelashes and that was enough for me.

I know it is crazy but I have a phobia or I dunno what you want to call it but I cant stand to see small things grouped together in masses best way I can describe it.

Mold, ChickenPox, Stitches bunch of small things in large quanities I just want to get sick. The big ass eyelashes did me in

Eyelashes!!What the hell...did they have them in the sheeps head at the time? We disected cow's eyeballs and there were definitely no eyelashes.

Not in the head but eyelashes were on the eyeball so I had enough.

Grass stuff was in the Trachea of the pig

I remember dissecting a frog in high school. It took me longer than anybody else because mine was pregnant and I had to scoop all the eggs out before I could do much of anything else.
