Honestly, I saw Poltergeist when it was just released in theaters, and that had me scared crapless for months, I still remember that....just saw it again not that long ago, it's STILL one brilliantly creepy movie

Morph - great pick. I am not a horror fan, but to me the really good horror movies are the ones that have 2 effects on the viewer: 1) a smidgen of "believeability", meaning part of you could really see this happening. Versus some of the more extreme horror movies which offer their own charm. 2) the movie affects how we live our lives a bit. Like anyone watched a snowy pictured tv in the dark after seeing poltergeist! Or walked in the woods at night after seeing blair witch.
