It's all so funny to me, maybe that's why. Speaking of simpsons references, season 3 is hilarious. I've been laughing like crazy watching all those. Dog of death is a great episode. There's plenty of others too.

yeah season 3 is right when they really get good. I am pretty sure I know every episode from that season off by heart. you should burn all your simpsons dvd's and send them to me, care of cheap bastard.

I've been laughing my head off so far, even season 1 is great cuz there's just so much going on and you forget about it till you see it again and it just cracks you up. and then with being more active here, I'll see a part or hear a line and I put it in the memory bank for here, which makes watching the show even more enjoyable, and stressful at the same time.

Also great is watching the show again with the commentary on. It's neat listening to what was going on behind the scenes when they were creating the shows.

Before the Simpsons was a regular show, I saw some earlier shorts that were stuffed in as breaks between skits on the Tracy Ulman Show. Are any of those out on DVD? I've got a couple of bad copy that were "taped" (literally) on VHS.

Not exactly. I think they included a couple things from the TU days in the extras sections of the DVDs. But I haven't watched a lot of the extras yet. They TU days weren't that funny compared to now. Wathcing it now is almost irritating cuz you're used to the good stuff. the audio and animation and stuff is just so strange compared to what you're used to. Even season one looks funny to me. But they're out there. I'll try to remember to check tonight and see if I they are all included on the DVDs

If you watch the Simpsons 138th Episode Spectacular they show some of the old TU shorts. They were bad, well relatively speaking anyway. But Troy McLure's reaction after they show they them is worth it.
