First of all, great pics. Secondly, thank you, allme, for making this thread. I'm ALL ABOUT some winter olympics, especially the skiing. I'm still not sure how i feel about Bode, but thank god for Ligety!

We blow at the winter games (U.S.) I mean we're not that horrible... But we kick so much more ass during the summer olympics... I love to watch the summer games, they just remind me how much better we are than the rest of the world...

What?! Jester, I think your showing your Jingoistic ass here. Like all countries we sometimes excell at some sports and sometimes don't. It frequently has more to do with the individual athletes than the countries which they come from. Athough the I will grant you that the amount of money spent on training will help athletes improve, to say that the US is that much better than any other country just isn't correct.

I'm excited to see how the women's us ski team fare tonight...i hope that girl who crashed the other day does well. I've wrecked like that before (granted, I wasn't going 65mph...more like 35 or 40) and it scares the livin bejesus out of you...

One more thing: I saw a report on the NBC news tonight about how the US women's team has changed their training, diet, months off, etc, and when it's summer here, they go to Europe and when that gets too hot they go to S. America...How nice is THAT!?

He's from my neck of the woods. He isn't arrogant, he just refuses to tow the party line. He skis because he loves skiing and all the medals and fame don't really mean that much to him. Here's a guy that grew up poor in a house with no running water who trains himself. When he invented a better way to secure his boots to his skis, he gave the information to EVERYONE, just so he wouldn't have an unfair advantage. I think more athletes should follow his lead instead of cashing in the first time someone waves a big check in front of their face.

Take it down a couple of notches.... I was joking... Still we are still one of the most powerful teams in the summer games... Granted we put a lot of money in to it... but so do other coutries, China, Japan, Germany... In truth we probably put less in to it, compared to countries like China. The reason they put so much money in to it, is in fact, to try and beat the U.S. It's about national pride, and everybody wants to knock off the best... and since they usually seem to want to beat us, thats probably means we're the best... So in a sense, I am right, and we are the best... at the summer olympics...
But again, I really wasn't trying to be serious. I am a Jester. So try and knock off a tit of the attitude when correcting me...

I think that some of the women of the Winter olympics have amazing body, I was looking at the ass and legs on one of the speedskaters yesterday

On a lighter note Aussies are basically crap at the Winter Games because we are a tropical nation. Although we did win a gold in something today!

Aye, we won a gold... but it was an Australiam trained Canadian who happens to be team, simply 'cause Canada didn't want him! But what do you expect for a country with so little snow?

On a note related to both this thread and the site, how fantastic are the legs on those female speed skaters? I've seen some nice legs before, but those take the cake! Could you imagine how fantastic their body would look after they've retired and got a bit more meat up top?

Canada is doing alright, but you would expect more from a country notorious for winter. But we don't have big enough population or athletic funding. Oh well, men's and women's hockey are kicking ass(women have outscored oponents 36-1) as are our curling teams. *cricket chirps* at that last one lol.

I am a pretty witty and sarcastic person and I had no idea you were kidding, you have to remember that given the times it woud be hard to know if you are joking or not, add in the fact that you can not detect tone on the internet, had you said it out loud I am sure it would have been obvious you were joking but on the net how is anyone to know it was a joke??? I mean I didnt see anything giving clues to let us know you were joking and when I saw it I too was like oh great this is why so many thing all americans suck these type of attitudes.

But then you also have to consider, people could have considered it a joke before jumping down my throats. Or you could have looked at the subject, and realized I was talking about the summer olympics (which we really are the best at, in terms of metals) even though I still had no malintent intended....

So perhaps what I am saying is that while my wording was not obvious, some people should have considered certain aspects, before making certain comments, which were somewhat offensive... THOUGH, I completly don't care, because I geuss people who took my statement out of context could have been offended....

Curling is pretty cool, might not enjoy it so much if I hadn't played bocce before . But I did happen to watch Canada lose to Switzerland the other day.

I'm kind of in love with the US women's curling team...they're hot.

On amore serious note, I was messaging back and forth with one of the--okay, THEE--premier hotness of this site, and she told me about Snowboard Cross. I watched the final, and it was SO cool! And it just proves, we Americans invent more non-vital/non-important stuff than anybody. Still, it IS cool.

The weird part is it reminds me of a recurring dream I have had over the years (not of the hottie, those are recent!). I'm at a cross between a theme park and a city tunnel system used for drainage or storage, depending on the dream. And some times I use a skateboard or scooter, other times I am running. But the object is to race through a system of tunnel/half-pipe stuff, part above ground, part underground. Very weird. And so, i can say I sort of "invented" Snowboard Cross!

anyway i watched the snowboard cross final too. we had TWO Canadians in the women's final and they BOTH crashed. How stoopid is that. At least one got bronze by just finishing the race.

well men are still and first and women are tied for second.....wait a second, why am i getting all invloved with curling. it's barely a sport.

A guy that lives no too far from me just took the gold in snowboard cross. I've never seen him but everyone's talking about him today.

I couldn't find any decent Winter pics, yet. So how about a past pic from beach volley ball? In my mind the women that play in this sport are some of the finest athletes around and some of the sexiest, too.

I think the tanned and scantilly clad parts don't hurt either.
