So, y'all remember 80's metal? I've been listening to hair bands lately on Sirius and cracking up! They were so about guitar. And the lyrics are hysterical. The real bands are Ozzy, Metallica, AC/DC, Priest, Pantera...who else??
Anyone remember Poison, Warrent, LA Guns, White Lion, Y and T, Black and Blue??? Actually I liked a song by Black and Blue called "Blonds in Black Cars". It was the second song I played when I bought my black truck years ago. The first song was "Back in Black" -- AC/DC.
(If this thread dies...y'all have my permission to diss me.)

seriously though AC/DC a great Aussie band! So many current heavy rock bands are influenced by these guys and if they aren't, they are lying. Although..... I'd hardly consider them a hair band

I was a "rocker" in the late 80s. Poison, Bon Jovi, GNR, Skid Row, Def Leopard (my personal fave) and all that good stuff. And even though I love Nivana and the grunge era that followed, it's too bad that after them, songs that didn't have meaningful lyrics went bye-bye.
Remember Winger? "Seventeen" still rocks!
