I'm a big progressive rock/metal fan, so anything proggy will catch my ear. Dream Theater, Rush, King Crimson, Pink Floyd, Yes, Genesis, Emerson-Lake-and Palmer, Porcupine Tree, Opeth... name it, I usually like at least some of it.

That new Nightwish sounds pretty solid ! I've never been a big fan, but I like this stuff. I'm more of an old school metal kinda guy. NWOBHM is where it's at for me. 80's straight up metal, and speed metal as well.

My taste is all over the board except rap. No rap, can't stand rap, but just a tad bit of old school hip-hop. My core collections depend on moods to fit the situation.

Trance/House/Dance
80's Hairband Rock/Alternative Rock/Lithium Rock/Classic Rock
New Wave/80's
Chamber Music Classical
Symphony Classical
Rat Pack

Like I said, my tastes are all over the board. tongue.gif Living in the USA, they offer satellite radio, and years ago I bought a Sirus Sat Radio for the car. I'm hooked. Just about every genre under the sun.

I also like trying suggestions from others, give it a listen and see if it absorbs into my taste. That's how I became aware of a new favorite of mine, the "Chill" genre. A friend said, listen to this song Private Road by Bent. Gave it a listen, wow! Hooked!
