Thanx for all the kind words comedy. I really appreciate the vote of confidence so early in my career. But I've got a confession. I'm not a Brit. I was born and raised in small town Ohio. My hubby is a born and bred Brit....imagine how I fell for that accent! We both now live in London, England but I don't have the accent. I wouldn't want people fantasizing about something I don't really have.....as opposed to the 2 things I most certainly do have

Neither you nor I are responsible for maintaining the birthday list. I do not agree with your perspective. I see nothing wrong with acknowledging a birthday for someone whose account is still active here. I have done it before with the hope of bringing someone back to more active participation. Further, I believe that we should all be doing what we can to maintain this site as active, interactive social media. Retention of participants should be a priority - like acknowledging birthdays.

It's not about the birthday list. It's about that doing this bumps a thread for a poster who's last post was in NOVEMBER 2005. That's ten years ago and since then she hasn't posted a pic or a comment. Meanwhile current posters threads get dropped. Retention is about retaining who we have, but what you do had made other posters stop posting. They feel undervalued an unappreciated. Then they leave. Then after their threads are long dead you'll revive them to insult the next wave. Once again I know cause I've watched it happen
