So tomorrow we find out who's going to the SuperBowl and who made it all this way for nothing.
In the AFC championship, my Steelers are once again underdogs as they visit the Mile-High city and take on the Broncos. It's a role they have come to embrace even though they beat the supposed AFC elite (on their own home turf no less) to get there.
And in the NFC championship, Steve Smith and the Panthers journey to Seattle to see who's going to lose to Pittsburgh in the SuperBowl.
Who you got?

Who you got? pittsburgh b/c i want the bus to win one before he retires... ...and carolina b/c if my bears can't win, i don't want the team that beat them to choke in the next round...

I'd like to see Carolina get in with Pittsburgh. They both started out 6-seeds, and will blow home-field advantage completely out of the water.

The wheels on "the Bus" went round and round round and round, round and round. The wheels on "the Bus" went round and round, round and round, round and round. Straight through the Super Bowl and into Canton.
My last prediction until next fall. HOF class of 2011 Jerome Bettis and Brett Favre. There will be more but those are the 2 definites.

Would watch it here if we got ESPN Australia. Nothing beats grown men kicking the crap out of each other with no protection whatsoever.

QUOTE(bondiguy @ Feb 12 2006, 11:57 PM) I remember when ESPN was still in it's infancy they would broadcast rugby all the time. My best friend and I would just sit and watch trying to figure out the rules because we'd never seen it before. Now they don't carry rugby at all.

Now they don't carry rugby at all. there is a difference between Rugby Union and Rugby Leage and I am pretty sure you are talking of Union... a sport which is truely hard to fathom even for an Aussie. League is played pretty much only in Australia, New Zealand, England and some small island nations in the South Pacific. It is a tribal thing here on the east coast of Australia. Our national team played the "tomohawks" (A USA team) a few years back in an exhibition game somewhere in Philly

we get lots of rugby from all around the world in Canada. Rugby is a pretty big sport here. Not as big as Australia but it's growing.
a sidenote: I like how the dude on the far left looks like he's gleefully smiling at his teammate is crushing the guy on the other team.

haha Gnappy... he probably was. I wish I could find a video clip of that hit! It was in a semi final in 2004 and was rated biggest hit of the year! I support the gurs in blue and white so I got a great deal of pleasure from it.
belicked I dare say you saw Rugby Union as it is a bigger international sport

Spring training is starting in Florida but baseball just doesn't cut it excitement-wise compared to the NFL.

I knnow this will offend some people but fuck me if Baseball isn't the most boring sport in the world. It goes for 3 or 4 days straight and they only hit the ball a handful of times

The huge baseball fan that I am, I still understand that most people don't really understand the game nor appreciate the game for all that it is. I love watching a shutout and even the occasional no-hitter. Just imagine how "boring" it would be if they changed the mound back to where it was in in the 60's and prior. Oh the days when pitching dominated.

The Rules of the Game Ok, let's go over the ground rules. You can't leave first until you chug a beer. Any man scoring has to chug a beer. You have to chug a beer at the top of all odd-numbered innings. Oh, and the fourth inning is the beer inning.
Wiggum -Hey, we know how to play softball.

How many home runs you gonna hit with that? Homer: Let's see. We play thirty games. Ten at-bats a game. Mmm... Three thousand.
