I went away for 2 weeks back in February on vacation and returned to see some truly disturbing pics sprawled across my 411 so I thought I'd return the favour to Gnappy... hope Vegas was good brotha!

Ahhh a fellow fight club devotee????

I wouldn't quite say devotee, but it is an excellent movie and book. One of the very few instances where I liked the movie better than the book, but both are still really really good. I saw the movie first and it took me a couple years to read the story, so that could be why I liked the movie better. The book ending is more clever, but the movie explains the whole darn story better. If I didn't see the movie first, I would have been lost in the book. the direction and the camera work in the movie are awesome!!! Also, in the book, when he's talking about rendering the fat, it is absolutely hilarious.

Oops, I forgot. I wasn't supposed to talk about fight club.

Boo, answer me this about fight club cause it has always bugged me and no one has yet to explain.

In the Sixth Sense which is compairable in the not really there sort of thing there is not one thing in that movie you cant go back on and say well they messed up here and stuff. Like any time you thought about well the mom talked to him you can go back and see it didn't happen.

In fight club where it was always him how did he go to the payphone and dial the number to Pitt and Talk with him on the phone when they were the same person.

Anyway that has always bugged me.

He rings the number on paper street and no one answers (because he isnt there to answer) He puts the phone down and this is when he then starts to imagine that the phone rings and he is talking to Tyler, which he isnt, hes just a mentalist and hearing phones ring and chatting to himself. At least thats what I assumed happened

Oh Ok I guess that could make sense cause yeah if I remember right Brad was like I star 69'd you but still they should have covered that one better leaves to much to assume.

Exactly what Christof says; It is explained in the scene where Tyler reappears in the hotel room with Narratot (Ed Norton) and Tyler's head is shaved.

Yeah I never thought of him imagening the phone ringing when it called back so that always had me wondering how the fuck no one there called a payphone and talked to him but it makes sense now.

He never got ahold of him by calling. teh first time he called him from the payphone after his apt blew up he called and got a machine or something. Then the payphone immediately rang after he hung up. It was durden who was calling. durden said that he never answers his phone, that he *69'd him to call him back.

There is, however, in the movie one impossible scenario... the director even commented on it but said that it was too funny and he had to leave it in. that is at the airport when you see tyler durden in the background stealing the car. It's a great scene, but not possible once you know the truth. Unless, of course, Norton's character wasn't really in the airport... but that's not really how his disease is explained to work.

Okay. sorry. I just skimmed the rest of the posts before I posted, i didn't realze that weird pee guy and bondi covered it so well till now. BUt I typed all that shit and I'm not deleting it out of there. I also have the great bit of trivia about stealing the car so I'm leaving it all in!!!

I always assumed at that point he was stealing the car but was imagining he was in the airport watching tyler do it - "At times, you imagine you're watching me." But if the director commented on it then I guess not, sucks I prefer my way

Yes I agree with Chrsitof, unless like Bob said the director publicly confessed.

I assumed the car theft was "narrator's" mind building the Tyler character, "Imagine watching me" type thing. Tyler is everything narrator wants to be... looks like he wants to look and so on!

On the pic front, sorry i have let a few days go by but i was away surfing this weekend. Not much time now but i'll post 1 more when he gets back tomorrow

Some good Fight Club dialog going on here though. Loved the movie, never read the book, but I read Choke, another one of the author's titles. Not as good as Fight Club, but in the same vein.
If you own the dvd but haven't watched it with the commentary on, I highly recommend it, really explains a lot of cool things goin on in there.

I had a blast in Vegas, may post some shit on it later.
And yes I DID get a pic with the Coca Cola bear, but it was just with my camera phone and I was hungover, I'll get to that later.

it's not really ON the bear, as I was by myself at the time. It's more me in front of the bear, cuz i had to take the pic of myself. Ideally I wanted to take a pic of me violating the bear but I was hungover, and I was all the way by the Coke store, it was 10:20, had to be back at my hotel to check out at 11:00 am and that was all the way back at the Imp. Palace which is right across from Caesar's Palace so I had to move!

I was watching TV the other day and I saw a commercial for the Oozinator and thought what the hell were they thinking? Kids might think its fun but most everyone else who has watched a lot of porn will liken it to only one thing. Watch the commercial and you'll see it writes it's own jokes, ie. The Oozinator, made by Hasbro, the ambiguously gay toy company.
