 What was for dinner last night?? Each day please update, I am a very picky eater and since we have a variety of people here I want to know what you eat for dinner. If it is some unheard of dish please explain what it is.

Sorry I am bored and we need people to post some shit so I am getting desperate here that and like I said I love to find out how things differ in so many places and homes.

For my family last night I made some pasta and shrimp. Each month I go to this Gourmet Dinner place and you make anywhere from 12 to however many meals there that are gourmet and that you can than freeze and thaw and cook whenever.

I don't remember what it was called but the shrimp part had lots of garlic sun dried tomatoes, green onions and some other stuff and you put it on Penne Pasta.

Than I made some RedLobster style chedder biscuits and than Tomatoe Soup for my 2 younger ones.

I only had a few shrimp and than a bowl of cereal

I was lazy and made pillsbury parmasan bread sticks and some 10-minute meal in a bag. It's actually very tasty. I'll try to remember the name of the company that prepares it and let you know.

Yesday was chicken parmasan. it had chicken, yummy sauce, and mostaccioli. and no mushrooms :2thumbsup: I can't remember who makes it though. Last time I had a different meal, but I can't remember what was in that. My brain is mush. I'll have a full report tomorrow, though.

And I love bread!!! Anything that holds butter is good for me!!!

Damn, and I thought we were getting rid of pointless threads :haha:

Anywho, I'll contribute:

BBQ'd chicken, but couldn't use the grill as it was snowing out and I'm too lazy to go out in the snow to grill. Also made some rice with broccoli in a cheddar cheese sauce.

I'm Catholic and it's Friday. We had shrimp scampi and crabcakes. It was okay.

My wife and I are not picky eaters. However, she can't eat greasy food (like fried chicken). Hot, cold, any ethnicity. Any animal, within reason (no dog). That's probably why we are both pretty thin -- to eat low-fat food, you have to have a tolerance for bland stuff.

Catholics can't eat beef, pork, or chicken on a Friday during Lent. Any kid of seafood is okay, though.

Supposedly, the reason McDonald's came up with the Filet O'Fish was because their sales were dropping dramatically on Fridays, when Catholics wouldn't go.

I never understood the appeal of crabcakes. Here in Maryland, you would think they are a personal gift from God or something. Along with crabs.

Crabs are a pain to eat. There's not much meat. They are covered with that gunky Old Bay seasoning. And it's a mess. WAY overrated.

here is the dinner thing I was talking about. you can make it in 10 minutes. It's delicious. and it's a perfect meal for 2 people. Fills you up comfortably. Won't stuff you, won't leave you hungry. I took a picture of a coupon that was stuck to the bag. It's in the frozen food section. They have different meals and all the ones I've tried have been excellent. Give it a try. It's great to have a couple on hand if you just don't have time.

I've always been curious about a womans first time tasting that "special sauce" Is it like most things-ie you think it's going to be one way and it turns out completely different? No matter how much you and your girl friends talked about it when you were still in school, the experience must still be unique and something you still remember. Like I said, just curious.
