I dunno. There's almost no food I don't like.

They sure are!
I don't follow rugby too closely but watch it now and again. Canada's rugby program is getting pretty good in recent years. We're still not near the top of the heap in the international world but it's not like our soccer team vs the rest of the world. In rugby we can actually compete.
And Canada did qualify for the world cup in a thrashing of the US team.

No I meant the same in the way that only locals would like it!

Well I will pay particular attention to the Canadian team when the World Cup rolls around.

Funny enough, there's actually a thread for just that purpose.  This place has EVERYTHING.  I wonder if there's a place in here where I can check out some boobs!

It would be heaven if there was a Simpsons quoting thread in here too!

Good try, but isn't that the ep where Burns hires actors to portay the Simpsons to Bart, making him believe they don't miss him?

You know, I wasn't even thinking about that gnappy's was a reference until I saw the "good try" in your post. then it all hit me and now I remeber. And yes, you're right, and that part is hilarious.

I just slapped down the first d'oh reference I thought of.

somebody must have mixed up the file folders in my brain.

Ok peeps I am reviving this thread but I am going to expand it's horizons at the same time.

Inspired by Comedyman's "ask em a question" thread, this thread is now also open to any questions you have about Australia.

Australia has to be one of the most misrepresented and misunderstood countries among all the developed nations across the world. Unfortunately it is largely Americans because the British know alot about us as do Asia. The 3rd largest tourist group to visit Sydney is people from the USA. I live in a pretty tourist-popular area and I hear all sorts of crazy things people expect to see or do when the hit our shores.

So the open line is free... shout out your questions!

I will refrain from asking the obvious toilet-flushing question and just say:

I am actually pretty ignorant and don't really have any presumptions about australia other than I'd really like to go there sometime. If my wife and I were to go there, would you be our tour guide and show us around all the non touristy places that are usually much more worth seeing than the tourist attractions.

First of all I don't know who or what Anheuser-Busch is and second of all it wasn't an Australian publication that ran they survey?

I don't see Portland in the mix? :P

Anheuser-Busch brews Bud, Michelob, Busch and about 50 other lesser known beers. How Conde Nest could overlook Portland is unconscionable. Actually, I'd love to visit Sidney, it's pretty near the top of my "things-to-do" list.
