Toplessness has been thoroughly explored in this thread. But I'll kick in my humble opinion: count me among those who think toplessness at American beaches is long overdue.
I view it as something quite natural. A woman should be able to uncover herself as much as a man, it only seems fair and equal treatment.. A top or a large one- piece bathing suit is just too clumsy and old-fashioned. I am looking forward to the day when American women just start doing it. :)
