QUOTE(Gnappster @ Apr 27 2006, 05:54 PM) Your ability to quote shampoo commercials in and of itself is pretty gay, regardless of brand. :nahnah: And the fact he knows a song from The South Pacific. :nahnah:

QUOTE(natalie @ Apr 28 2006, 12:36 AM) And the fact he knows a song from The South Pacific. :nahnah: Actually, I didn't know that was from South Pacific. I actually had to check IMDB to verify that. I just learned something new today... Advertisers rip off movies for ideas. :o I just know that song because I remember it from when I was younger... some girls sang it in a shampoo commercial. Don't remember what kind of shampoo, but I do remember the girls.

Well this is gonna open me up for all sorts of gay burns, BUT, it was "I'm gonna wash that grey right out of my hair" and it was for a ladies hair dye. The ONLY reason I know this is because I am an 80's TV guru. And that is all.

I have to just suffer through watching it on TV 5 or six times a day.

I have to just suffer through watching it on TV 5 or six times a day. I would suggest getting them, you know, if you have a lot of extra time to kill. I go in phases of watching them. I'm midway through season three right now. It's nice to watch an episode, then watch it again with the commentary. And at only 22 minutes an episode, you can squeeze them in here and there. Like... Yeah, dinner will be ready in about 20 minutes... Perfect. I'll just watch one more episode from the Simpsons. As far as the Greatest American Hero... It's good, but it's not great. Typical 80s TV show. and lot of wasted time. I think they tried to feature music or something. Cuz they'll play an entire song to kill time to let you know time has passed. Usually when vehicle is traveling somewhere. They shoot the vehicle driving down the road from the side, then switch camera angles and now you're looking from overhead, then switch again and it's alittle darker outside and the vehicle is coming at you head on. Thank goodness for fastfoward... cuz absolutely nothing else is happening... Oh, yeah. And the girl is hot too. I don't remember her name, but when you're a pervert like me, names aren't really that important.

Ya know, if I was single again and without child, I guarantee I would own every season that is out and would have watched them countless times. In fact I would probably dedicate entire days to watching an entire season in a row (those were the days!). But I just don't have the time as my boy is 18 months old which translates to zero free time lol. But I'm sure as he gets older, I'll get him addicted to Simpsons as well, and as we all know TV is the perfect babysitter, especially a TV playing Simpsons!
A little FYI, way back when, I used to have about 120 episodes of Simpsons on tape(before the days of DVD's). This was back when there was only about 140 episodes. I had them all on tape with all the commercials edited out. I watched those tapes til they were basically unwatchable. Yes I am a collassal loser, but a Simpsons fan ahead of his time.
And that is all. ®

I used to tape the Simpsons too, but i didn't have the collection you had. I am really impressed by that. And your ® is a nice touch.

I want to be a post whore today, but it's been too darn busy at work today. I have so many great comments to post, but I just can't find the time to slap it all down on these here little keys.
Actually, what the hell am I talking about. I'm sure it's nothing that great. You're not really missin' out on much. Maybe I'll just catch up on the boards after work this evening. Don't worry though. whatever I say probably isn't worth waiting for. whore on without me all.

I mean, that was given to me by freak. Although not quite as good as the translation I posted that one time, if I may say so myself. :)

QUOTE(Gnappster @ May 2 2006, 04:46 PM) (I knew you'd get it eventually) Took me a while. I didn't even catch that it was a reference till I really scanned my brain a little later (okay, so it took like two seconds to scan my entire brain.) Took me a while to remember what the hell was said about it though. I think I got it pretty close though. I don't like cheating and looking for the quote unless I have to. I like to see what I can do from memory as much as I can.
