I still don't know what you mean.

Since your first post, I haven't cared much for any of your comments or attitude. In my previous post I was not attacking you; I was trying to tell you that I can't imagine that anyone would have understood what you were trying to say. Even your response to my post isn't very clear. All I can make out is that you are trying to attack me because of where I was born and where I live. I am choosing not to engage in your attacks. That would be a waste of time for me to keep posting and for everyone else here to read. I have learned from/about and respect many people on these boards who are from all over the globe. I appreciate their friendship and their respect about where I am from.

Fair enough. :2thumbsup:
Then please accept my apologies if I went off half-cocked. both of your posts were hard to understand. Perhaps if you used a little more punctuation and gave it a quick read before you posted it would help. I have lots of typos and stuff like that too because I have to squeeze posts in while at work, so I know what it can be like.

You are good

This is one that I got in one of my many English classes.

Punctuate this sentence:

woman without her man is nothing

Any takers?

Woman, without her man, is nothing.
that's one of several that could work.

That was the most common that people came up with. Them some little goodie goodie girl who probably doesn't have dinner on the table when her husband gets home, went up to the chalkboard and did this:

Woman: Without her, man is nothing.

go figure.

Bobaloo, without women's boobs, is nothing! :niceones:

From my memory, Belicked is correct, but is is slurred some what to sound like, "I am swhat I ams."

Definitely Popeye English. I haven't found 'swhat' in the dictionary.

Yeah, that sounds right. I just know when I was younger I had a popeye button that said I am what I am. But in thinking about it, I'm sure he would be more apt to say ams. But as long as you all got the idea of what I was trying to say.

Good try...you could argue that English cockney slang is also a form or word association!!

Try and guess what this short slang means....

Treacle

as in a greeting...'Alright, treacle?'

Just when I thought I was getting the hang of this stuff, you have to go and throw that one in the mix. I have no clue. i could probably look up something in the Internet, but Pen said that's against the rules.

I am completely stumped and I submit to you punishment. Or maybe you need to give me special tutoring.

Well, I can safely say that I know more than enough to keep you wanting to tutor me, but not enough for any type of exit criteria.
