Kelly Clarkson is a very under rated performer and probably suffers a bit sue to her being of Idol fame but she is a great singer. "Because of you" is a brilliant song

Right now........Long John Baldry's "Don't Lay No Boogie Woogie, I'm The King Of Rock 'N Roll."

Great old tune with Rod Stewart, Elton John and numerous others before they made it. Had the album (out of print) but they just released it re-mastered on CD and I figured it was another one I had to have in my collection so I bought it. If you like blues, it's a good one!!

I agree, she's my favorite singer. And I think American Idol did hurt her a little, people don't take her as seriously as they should.

I couldn't agree more but I think she is starting to finally shake that tag.

Well done to her

have you ever listened to a song over and over again... or maybe even just a part of a song?

lately, i've been listening to the last two minutes of "fix you" by coldplay... it's some of the more mellow stuff i listen to... but there's something about the chords they play, mixed w/the harmonization of the lyrics...

i dunno... i just throw my headphones on and close my eyes and completely forget about the outside world...

does anyone have any remote idea what i'm talking about?

Dude.... Deep!

I must say I know what u r saying. Music is the greatest release u can get, pic an album suiting ur mood and it just highlights your mood to the extreme.

Chris from Coldplay is truly a gifted songwriter and musician.

Ponder this... do u ever here a song/s and it reminds u of a time and place, or a person or event? Almsot like your life has a soundtrack?

yup... the only downside to that is when the song takes you back to when you were dating someone else and it brings up all those bad/bitter memories...

Absolutely! To this day when I hear Orange Crush by REM it takes me back to this one day at my favourite bar back in university, must have been like 97 or 98. Anyway it was the last day of classes and EVERYBODY was at the bar, this fuckin cool place called Checkers. It was the most casual club ever. You didn't have to get dressed up to go, they played lots of rock and alternative and stuff you wouldn't hear anywhere else. It was a hot and humid evening and the place felt just electric. So I was there and saw all these people that I saw at school or the gym but never talked to. But I was nicely toasted as was everyone else and I chatted it up with all these no-name people I had seen so often. No one was fighting, no one was showboating, just a lot of people blowing off some steam after the last day of finals. Anyway, it was getting pretty late and the DJ put on Orange Crush, and I remember thinking, "It doesn't get much better than this, beer in hand, lovely ladies all around, and not a care in the world." Even now, when I hear that song it transports me back to that night.

Well that's the most thought I've put into a post in a long time and my brain hurts.

Oh yeah, Twisted Transistor still conjures up sussed naked
