So.... you get a private message, someone sends you a pic and asks "How do I look?" "Do I turn you on?"


Is it rude to be honest and say "no", "not really", "you're not my type at all"

Or are we to lie in order to not offend someone?!



People want others to be honest, don't like lies, yet they don't like to really get the truth when someone does!!!!

Its not rude,itsyour opinion.i mean not every guy likes a curvy woman like me,im not offended by it.

Yeah, I don't know if it's this way everywhere in the world, but in our culture we're definitely trained to lie in order to avoid hurting peoples' feelings.

Is it rude to be honest? I'd say its not rude, but it's a fine line. I would only say it's rude if you went out of your way to say something harsh, like "no, you're gross" or "no, you're a fat pig." But it's definitely subjective.

Brilliant answer Junker, spot on in my opinion. I know if I sent a pic and asked ' what do you think there is a real good chance I won't hear the answer I want to, you gotta expect that if your asking questions like that.

Not every body is the same, its definitely subjective and a tricky one to answer if I ever got sent it

I don't send anyone pics and ask their opinion unless they send me a message or leave a comment on one of my pics! I figure if they don't then they are not that interested! Yes everyone has different tastes!

It's funny to see the expression on the little girl's face, and it made me laugh, of course! But it also immediately made me think about the fact that this little girl had ALREADY learned that she couldn't just be honest with her opinion regarding her mom's cooking. What is she, three? There is a very strong aspect to our culture about NOT saying things that could upset people.

It makes me wonder about how that developed. Maybe because becoming ostracized by the group meant almost certain death for thousands of years? Is it now hardwired into most of us?
