I've been thinking about starting this topic for a while but put it off. Posting a picture of the Longfellow house in another thread reminded me of this. Here's a chance to post photos of your city/town/country that you think the rest of us might find interesting. Maybe a photo of a favorite bar or pub. Whatever. My old avatar of the lighthouse was along those lines. It's one of the most painted and photographed lighthouses in the world.

Yesterday in Bondi 1010 women broke a Guiness World Record for the largest Swimsuit photoshoot ever!

Organised by Cosmopolitan Magazine it certainly attracted quite a crowd dwon there, if only I knew it was on! haha. I was at work blissfully unaware it was going on until I got home and watched the evening news!!!

Organised by Cosmopolitan Magazine it certainly attracted quite a crowd dwon there, if only I knew it was on! haha. I was at work blissfully unaware it was going on until I got home and watched the evening news!!!

That picture kinda reminds me of the Simpson's episode where Smithers gets everyone in Australia to join hands and spell out "Happy Birthday, Mr Burns". And Burns won't even turn his head to look at it on TV.

Well... I definetly can't top girls in bikinis but I went for a little drive to the highest mountain we have here in town... I thought I'd share some pictures. There are TONS more on my myspace/facebook if you're so inclined.


The mountain is about 14,000 ft. They only let you drive up to about 12,000 this time of year which is where the lake pictures were taken. It was about -16 degrees out with wind chill... just a tad different from the 70 degrees back in Denver!!

There's also some pictures of the Aspens we saw up there... they're a really pretty golden yellow this time of year.

I just came back from J's Oyster Bar and there's a cruise ship parked right next door. It's the coolest thing to meet people from all over the world who are only going to be in town for one day. The place was packed. Where else can you get a 1.1/4 lb lobster/a pile of steamers/corn on the cob/rolls/drawn butter for only $21.00? Everyone that comes off the ship either wants a lobster dinner or to shop at L.L. Beans. Consider this a formal invitation to any of my RMM friends who come to Portland that there's gonna be a lobster dinner at J's as part of your visit.
