QUOTE(ddd35 @ Aug 14 2007, 10:13 AM) Wow. I think that was the first ever meaningful and appropriate post made by 3d. One can only assume he copied it from someone else. in any case, that actually was a good quick tutorial.

QUOTE(closeup @ Aug 15 2007, 09:08 PM) That was interesting. But why was the ball being ignored when the players were in a scrum? The players were all pushing and shoving and the ball was just sitting there being ignored. You release the ball when its to your advantage, the whole idea is to maximise your advantage when you have possession. :2thumbsup:

I,d like to send Gareth Jenkins and his entire coaching staff over there permanently, and bring my friend Mike Ruddock back. I have a sneaky feeling that the Frogs may spring a surprise this year. Very much looking forward to it.

QUOTE(ddd35 @ Aug 16 2007, 09:44 AM) I cant answer that , but it would appear to me its cause there playing grab ass .. they aren't ignoring the ball. the hooker is the only player who can bring the ball back into the scrum. when in position the scrum half will pull the ball out of the back of the scrum a pass to the fly half (if i rember correctly) and the pass begin down the field. there was a comment about getting hit by a 275lbs guy. because of the lack of pads players know that it hurts to hit and get hit. in the us, the players that get hurt the most during tackling are the former football player because they aren't used to hitting without pads. soccer players make the coversion better because they are used to playing with out a break every 10-15 sec and they "hit" without pads. i played union in college...it was great.
