1920's: Became fashionable to shave armpits as a result of a deoderant advert for women

Modern Day: Nearly all the pornographic images you see on the internet have women with landing strips, designs and baldies. Well....I say nearly all....

My 2 pennies worth: It's an evolutionary process, evryone just wants to fit in a trend, so women will now think that men prefer shaven, and they might well do. However, we do see retro come back into fashion and I do think there will be a resurgence in fashion for women not too fully shave it. It just shows though, we are suckers for following the crowd.
