SEXnow that I have your attention So, of late my life is being consumed with all things weddings (as Bob would know). I am trying to let bondigirl look after most of the things as she is super pumped about it all, and loves the whole process. I on the other hand love beer.... anyway. One thing I am adamant on is music. Music for the ceremony, music for the reception etc. I am far from being a traditionalist so wherever possible I am using contemporary music. Pop, rock whatever. I am compiling a list of songs I want to use but I just have to decide on when and how to use them. I am 99% or first dance will be to a song called "Better Together" by Jack Johnson. Also, I am thinking of using "Woman" by Wofmother during the time I will be taking bondigirls garter off. Anyway, to the point. I wan't to surprise bondigirl with a song during the reception. You know, me with an axe and a mic belting out an acoustic tune.... but what? I am agonising over song choice. Bondigirl isn't as into music as I am, so choosing her fav song is hard because it changes weekly... Can anyone help me out??? p.s if you reading this post still..... I am shocked!

I am shocked! sounds like me. the one thing i was concerned about at my wedding was music. Anyway, when you said you up there with an axe it reminded me of Otto singing Freebird on the bus while playing Bart's guitar. So I guess my answer is Freebird by Lynyrd Skynyrd.. However I have been moving boxes and drinking beer for the last 3 hours in preparation for the move, so I wouldn't take too much of what I say as important or even useful. I'll try and be more helpful later.

QUOTE(Bobaloo @ Dec 15 2006, 12:17 PM) I was totally into the music for my wedding as well. I had a crazy list of songs for the deejay for the different events that were going on. I left the party to him, but the stuff that needed background music I was all over. anyway, I'll talk to my brain and see what I can come up with. I think I might have a few ideas for ya. Just don't kill it with beer!

URGENT!!! Oh my god!!!!!!! i always said to that the day i get hitched..that was going to be my song. I do have a great song though..that i absolutely love besides that one...it's by Ben Harper (jack johnson's really good buddy with an amazing voice and great guitar skills) It's called FOREVER. Look it up..you'll change your mind i think! Unless of course you want something a tad faster and more fun than stick with the song you chose. The forever song though she'll really have to listen to the lyrics cause they're great...and a HOTT guy would sing it to her while you dance (which is so traditional by the way).

Uhh us Urgent a song or were you just excited to post? If it is a song, who is it by? I do know who Ben harper is, I don't mind a few of his songs. I might check out that Forever one. We are going to use Better Together by Jack Johnson as our first dance song, but I also wanted a song to play for her and the people in attendance as a surprise. Me with me guitar, belting out a tune! QUOTE(hott1976 @ Dec 15 2006, 07:03 PM) By the way i think you are way hot! and that is no joke! Damn....thanks hun

Hott.... amazing song choice!
It is definitely being short listed! I played it through a few times, and yeah, it felt great! I really should get into Ben more...
Maybe I should have posted this somewhere else as only you, Bob and Gnappy will see my question? haha

QUOTE(Christof @ Dec 15 2006, 11:18 PM) You sure about this marriage? QUOTE(Christof @ Dec 15 2006, 11:20 PM) And I'll have a think about songs, im more into metal so not sure ill be too much help but ill have a looksie, wolfmother is a good choice great band. Just dont play time of your life by greenday, was a popular wedding song at one time and the lyrics arent really that suited Yeah alotta people choose songs they THINK are love songs, or mean something and mean something completely different. The amount of break up songs I've heard at weddings is unbelievable!
