I am once again on the brink. I am weighing up wether after just over 5000 posts here.... I should continue?

On one hand there are a few people here that I have become friends with. It sounds amazing as we have never met and live thousands of miles away but these guys and girls are just great, funy people. While this is only a website and we all have our own lives to lead it seems some of us are in some way an online family and it is hard to let that go.

On the same hand are the fact that there are some amazingly sexy women here, and you will all know how hard it is to shy away from looking at these great bodies day in and day out!

Now on the other hand, this site has been infiltrated by what could only be described as retards. Posting thread after thread of idiotic, sickening and overall stupid topics. They double up. They want to discuss pussy farts and the sound of high heels. They want to throw themselves desperately at any and every girl who has the courage to post a photo or say hello. They want to come to RMM and after a dozen posts start trash talking and making jokes that are not only not funny but borderline on retarded. I am all for having a laugh at my own expense but you first must gain the privilage of my respect before you can start having a joke. I do not go into someone's house and disrespect them after just meeting and after all these posts I consider this partly my house and people are fucking with it.

I have seen what you have seen. I may appear like one of the people you are talking about, but I hope not. I may be a new poster, but I have been here awhile. I finally decided to start posting for 2 reasons... 1) John implemented the new rules, that was the catalyst for my 1st post really. 2) I decided to get off my ass and actually post something because it was something I'd wanted to do for a while. I've been reading behind the scenes for a long time and have gotten to know y'all. This is one of my favorite boards with some great personalities. It gets irritating at other sites where all people do is bitch about whatever the subject of their board is (phones, products, programs, etc) and bitch about noobs not searching for questions before they ask anew. I would not be so active now (and probably not in the first place) if it weren't for the great personalities on these boards.

Anyway...

I think what has sparked a lot of goofy posts and threads is people trying hard to get to post No. 100 so they are not locked out of any good threads. I know that got me motivated. Maybe a suggestion (if many others agree this is getting to be a big problem) would be to finally lock out the members only area and make a little more obscure the ways to get into the members area.

Risk being... the site will not grow as much. Which is why john is requiring that the public threads stay active.

Just some of my thoughts. I have lots more, but I should take care of the customer I said I would be with in a moment. hehehe

Ok seriously well I was being serious but even though I don't agree with like 1/3 ok maybe 1/2 of your views I couldn't see this board without you and after getting to know you a bit more personally I like you **not like that** and I hope you don't go why not put the people you cant stand on the ignore list so you dont even have to see there posts anymore.

I mean granted the board will look off with only 3 peoples posts that you read but seriously it would be better for you to stay and mingle with the people you enjoy and ignore the people you cant stand. that way everyone wins.

Oh, without a doubt. i love it here. I am totally addicted to this site. i have gotten zero work done today cuz all i'm doing is staying up to date here.

I can totally see what Bondi is saying, but I think you're right about just ignoring the goofballs. Eventually their stupid posts will end up on the higer pages and they won't be seen again. I will get irritated, though, when it gets difficult to keep up with the boards cuz I'm reading stupid posts.

What bothers me a little bit, though, is that the goofballs are here to mooch pics. Not that there's anything wrong with that. That's what got all the guys started here in the first place. The problems is that the goofballs are mooching in on the close relationships on this board. They are getting the benefits of closer relationships and more risqué pics when the pics weren't really meant for them at all. I came to that realization when I saw a 2-post noob give a lame ass comment on a revelation-type pic from someone who's been here a while and just is starting to get a little more liberal. the problem was that it was in the members forum where she probably thought only the special people would see it. It probably doesn't bother her one bit. I just became a little more sensative to it somehow.

I think I'm stuck somewhere in the middle. I probably seem like the mooching noob to a lot of people because I haven't been posting long enough to have anyone get to know me, as evidenced by the very sad activity on my 411. But then again, I've been here a while and I'm not a schmuck. I really like everyone here that I've talked to. This is my favorite board ever.

Okay. I should probably shut up now before bondi's thread becomes bible-length. Just my $.02 for now. However, I am pretty easily influenced so my opinion is bound to change at some point.

Please rest assured you are not in the group of people that piss me off. Bobaloo you are actually a noobie that has done the right thing. Come and join the fun, dont rock the boat, enjoy the ladies and gradually get to know everyone. If ALL new people here were like you this place would have no problems.

Diane I have not yet made up my mind as I am very ambivalent myself. There are so many reasons I love coming here and so many reasons i get the shits when i get here. I mean of course I am addicted. You dont post 5000 posts for shits and giggles.

All I wanted people to realise is that aloowing fuckwits to control and overtake the forums puts the majority, who are all cool, off posting here. It has happened time and time again. Not sure if she was around when you were here but Sussed is a prime example. Why do you think Kiana left? How long has it been since Puppet or Jrock have been here? These people used to "own" this place and they have had to leave because they had reached the end of what they were prepared to put up with.

If it were up to me the members area would be like 500 post minumum. I would surely like an area that is more for the regular members of this board but not my board so what can I do ya know. I think you have been cool boo, we all are new at one point but you have long term potential.

Ok bondi I am putting this here in case you dont check the other thread where I also asked you some questions. Anyway can you put this in american talk for me if you can. I looked up a conversion factor and basically 1 american dollar is 1.38 Aussie money but I dont know your money system and I tried reading this over and over again and I am completely confused. I am seriously considering moving to Aussie land in the future but trying to figure out what my pay range would be around and if it would be enough to support my family there. At the least I would be a Registered Nurse before moving there and I have already looked into the legalities of it all just a matter of seeing if I can live now.

I think the pay would be a hell of a lot better than Mexico. To do the Mexico thing, you would want to save your money here for a LONG time, then move down there. But man, that medical system is probably not too great, either. I have some people I can ask.

By the way, the conversion rate means that the dollars you earn in Australia will look inflated compared to the U.S. If my math is correct, you would have to subtract about 30% from a published Australian salary to get the American equivalent. But that means nothing if you also don't have the typical cost-of-living information for Australian metropolitan areas.

From what I've read if you want to make decent money as a nurse over the long run, you need to have some kind of specialization. The U.S. has been importing nurses from places like Africa to deplete a burned-out and underpaid workforce in general nursing areas....

You are talking about nursing pay here not being as much right not in Australia, here I know that is why my long term goal is nurse practioner but I was looking into australia higher education routes and most the hospitals there i looked into not only pay you while you get higher education but help with it. Here you might get some help with the cost of school but nothing more and there they save x amound of spots for out of country Nurses. I just need to figure out Would the pay there cover cost of living comfortably pretty much. or would it be like trying to live in the US off a McDonalds Income.

It's a really good question - how good is Australian pay for this profession relative to the cost of living. My guess is that at least as well as the United States. If Australia is willing to provide the additional pay/training incentives you mention, it is because they have a more acute need than the U.S.

Remember also, that certain professions that are vital, but historically not highly paid, also are eligible for things like housing subsidization, etc. A prominent example would be a police officer or teacher. Even here that type of thing varies by locale. My guess is it would in Australia also.

I'm curious for Bondi to address what the situation might be like outside Australian metropolis areas. From what I hear, they are the boonies, big time.

If he comes back wich I hope he does, allthough he already said the scary stuff is out in the boonies so I will still right in the middle of the hussle and bussle:P
