Ok It's my favorite time of year, Halloween . What's the scariest movie you have ever seen....pick just one

Hostel.

Not really scary (I'm rarely scared by movies, so to speak) but disgusting.

Not really a "movie", but a TV movie - Salem's Lot fucked me up bad for a while when I was just a pup.

Honestly, I saw Poltergeist when it was just released in theaters, and that had me scared crapless for months, I still remember that....just saw it again not that long ago, it's STILL one brilliantly creepy movie :drama:

Morph - great pick. I am not a horror fan, but to me the really good horror movies are the ones that have 2 effects on the viewer: 1) a smidgen of "believeability", meaning part of you could really see this happening. Versus some of the more extreme horror movies which offer their own charm. 2) the movie affects how we live our lives a bit. Like anyone watched a snowy pictured tv in the dark after seeing poltergeist! Or walked in the woods at night after seeing blair witch.

Another great scary flick was EVENT HORIZON, happening on a spaceship, that was an awesome idea and creeped the bejeezus out of me :thumbup:
