QUOTE(foghorn @ Aug 23 2007, 08:39 PM) they aren't ignoring the ball. the hooker is the only player who can bring the ball back into the scrum. when in position the scrum half will pull the ball out of the back of the scrum a pass to the fly half (if i rember correctly) and the pass begin down the field. there was a comment about getting hit by a 275lbs guy. because of the lack of pads players know that it hurts to hit and get hit. in the us, the players that get hurt the most during tackling are the former football player because they aren't used to hitting without pads. soccer players make the coversion better because they are used to playing with out a break every 10-15 sec and they "hit" without pads. i played union in college...it was great. I played football , and I wouldnt want to do it without pads , ever , you take the velocity of a 250 lb man hitting at a dead run another 225 lb man at a dead run and its going to hurt , I dont care how ya prepare or how tough ya are ... I dont think there is any comaparison between football and soccer , soccer is not ment to be contact sport is it ? Nobody ever did say what the average pay is for rugby player .. the other issue that comes to mind a player with pads on the average temp inside the pads is 15 degrees above the outside air temp , so you take last week my boy was practicing at 95 degrees in full pads so it was more like 110 in the pads , thats why the breaks come into play between plays .

Average pay for a rugby or rugby league player varies depending on where they play. It is nothing like what NFL stars earn because there is no bigger sporting market than the US. It's simple economics really

It is largely rmoved from the rest of Australia because it is so far away from metroplis cities like Sydney or Melbourne.

Drew quite a crowd when I dressed (very slowly) it usually happens when I undress! not get dressed. :P I was surprised to see them "sweeping" for needles in Bondi, is that usual, is it a problem with junkies?

How uncovered where you? Topless is fine but the bottoms have to stay on. Topless only becomes an issue if you are in view from outside the beach if that makes any sense. Like any majoy city, Sydney does have problems with drugs and Bondi being the mast famous beach in our country it is usually well maintained and kept clean as possible for thousands of locals and even more tourists to enjoy any day of the year. I have being going to Bondi for years and years and I have never come across one needle on the sand, it is done more for precautionary reasons

Naked as the day I was born (but I,ve grown a bit :P ) Like any majoy city, Sydney does have problems with drugs and Bondi being the mast famous beach in our country it is usually well maintained and kept clean as possible for thousands of locals and even more tourists to enjoy any day of the year. My only critisism (being selfish!) is that it was too crowded. I have being going to Bondi for years and years and I have never come across one needle on the sand, it is done more for precautionary reasons Thank God they care enough to take precautions, thats not always the case in other countries.

QUOTE(ddd35 @ Sep 16 2007, 08:47 AM) so it would appear maybe the great patriots have been caught cheating , any truth to it closeup ? "Cheating" is such a loaded word. We prefer to call it "Gaining a competitive advantage" Or, as Bill Belichick, the coach, would say, "A different interpretation of the rules." Isn't that a much nicer way to put it? We we play Buffalo this Sunday. There's a good chance they're going to have to invoke "The Mercy Rule". Like in Little League when one team gets up by ten runs, they stop the game. So nobodys' feelings get hurt.
