So my thread hasn't been visited in a few days so i thought I'd post something.

The countdown to my big day has really started to gather momentum... im down to the teens (Oh I know thats gonna get misconstrued) when counting in days. I have started writing my speech for the big day, and i have also started to pen a little letter to give to bondigirl's sister to pass to bondigirl on the morning of our wedding day (we are traditional in the way that we will not see each other before the wedding).

I think I and we have most bases covered so i am really just looking forward to the day now.

Starting towards the latter parts of next week my visits here may be somewhat limited as I will be busier than a bikini waxer in greece with all the pre wedding preparations. Then, after March 10th Bondi will be missing from the airwaves for the best part of 5-6 weeks.

anyway, enough rambling...

peace

It was a happyhappy day, almost everyone were there (my two best friends werenīt there, boo to them!) and everything went so well! Ha, and I think I can still fit my wedding dress ;) ok, itīs only 3,5 years so I should, really!

And I hope you had a wonderful wedding day and everything will go like you two hope and have fun while in Europe :) (please take some warm clothes, itīs cold in here...)

wow, time flies!
It seems like you just announced you were engaged!
I didn't care for the whole wedding thing. It was good and all, but I'd rather be in the wedding party or and emcee or something, I don't like all the attention of being in the spotlight. I just like being around the spotlight haha.
But it seems like you have everything planned out well and it sounds like it will be a blast. Especially the European vacation after.
Cheers!

Wow 5-6 weeks without bondi??? RMM will so much extra bandwidth it could lease some out for that time period and make lots of money.

I never did read what song you picked for you first dance... or maybe I did read it and just don't remember.

The note idea is great. I did that for my wife... though, I gave it to my best man to deliver to her when we were all in our separate rooms at the church. I also sent him with a bracelet that I had engraved with our wedding date, which she actually wore that day. It is my plan to engrave future milestone dates on the bracelet, like kids' birthdays and things like that. It was perfect because it was a nice yet not too expensive bracelet that was casual, yet could be dressy, and it had a little heart-shaped charm on it that I could engrave on.

for your speech, if it's addressed mainly to your new bride, you may want to print it on nice paper or parchment and frame it so you can present it to her when you are finished.

I'm sure we'll talk a bit more as the date approaches, but let me tell you something that I wish I had realized a little sooner, but I eventually did realize and it helped a lot. JUST RELAX. the day before the wedding I was so freaking crabby cuz I had so much to do to feel ready. Trust me, it will work out. Just get your shit done and take lots of deep breaths. You don't have to revise your speech for the 500th time, you don't have to double-check your note for her again, you can have friends help you run errands. The days before your wedding are so exciting, make sure you take the time to enjoy them.

Most of all, enjoy your day! when your big day finally gets here, there's nothing else you can do or control (and make sure you tell your bride that too). So just sit back and enjoy the party you have planned.

and one last thing then I'll finally shut the hell up. Something I'll never forget about our wedding day. My mom called late in the night after we were already in our hotel room. I was debating not answering it cuz we were exhausted... but I did answer it. I put my phone on speaker and my mom was just talking about the whole night. Bringing up and reminiscing about things about the whole day, things she noticed, things her friends and family noticed, things that made her smile, compliments she heard, and lots of things we may have missed because we were the center of attention the whole night. Talking to her really was a great way to cap off the night; it really helped us realize that all our hard work paid off. My wife and I still talk about that phone call. I guess what I'm trying to say is, when my mom calls, make sure you answer your phone. Really, though. Make sure you take the time to think back and reflect on the night after things calm down a bit. it was a great way to help the memories last.

Okay. I'm done now. Hope everything goes according to plan.

I dont mind being in the spotlight and the wedding is really for the bride, but I know I will enjoy the day just as much as she does. It has come around quick though thats for sure. There is still 2 weeks to go but once next week is over I may not get on much at all... thanks mate

It was tiffany, but that bracelet was from their silver line. you actually have to go to the back room of the store to get to the cheap-ass section. It's almost an embarrassment to walk past the good stuff and go there.

But even still, for silver, it's pretty F-ing expensive.

Or like when you have to go thru the little curtains to get to the XXX section of the video store. Actually, it's nothing like that, but embarassing nonetheless.
