Howdy y'all. Just wanted to say hi. i haven't been here lately... lots has been going on. I was really sick and miserable on Wednesday night but had to come to work on Thursday cuz my dad had surgery on his shoulder Thursday. I'm feeling much better now, but I've had a pounding headache since. It's also been really crazy because the end of the year is here adn there's a lot of finalization that needs to be done and we've been really busy with our regular day-to-day operation on top of it all.

But here's the most disturbing of all: (Too bad there's not a "fucked up news" thread here :ph34r: )

I found out the day after xmas that a friend of mine (not a close friend, but still a friend) that I haven't seen in a while was murdered on xmas day. Not a lot of details have been released, but as far as I can tell someone had broken into her house and she came home interrupting the burglary. She died from blunt force trauma... or more specifically was beaten with a baseball bat. It still makes me ill to think about it. It took me a while to even believe that it was really her when I heard about it. Seeing her picture in the paper the next day was so surreal.

I could go on and on about her, but I'll spare you all the details for now. I will say, though, that this girl was gorgeous and sweet as pie. She was even nice to the fat ugly slobs who would hit on her. definitely not the kind of person who deserved to go down like that.

So that's all really. I know that not a lot of people visit this thread, but I still wanted to tell the people who do read it what's going on in my end of the world.

I'll be back here more next week when I'll be more funny and entertaining... and I'll be getting Internet at home soon which means I'll have the ability to spend even more time here at the expense of my happy marriage.

Sorry about the bad news mate. It is stories like that one, which make me not watch the news anymore (or rarely) I instead read newspapers to keep up to date with things. That way, I self edit the shit that makes me lose faith in man kind.

I'll be back in full force real soon. I finally got Internet at home (no more having to use a shitty cell phone connection) so I'll be able to get caught up real nice. My sister went back to school last weekend on New Year's day, but surprised us and came home this weekend. I'll be hanging out with her this weekend, but after she leaves... Look out. I'll be good ol' bobaloo the post whore you all know and love in no time. also, the technician just hooked me up today, so I still have some work to do to get my wireless set up the way I want and stuff like that. I installed the modem and the router in the basement, and I've been down here for like 45 minutes setting up the wireless bullshit. I think I'm just about done now, but I'm cold and my ass is getting sore (burn opporunity up for grabs).

Thanks to all who stopped by my thread to say hi and offer your sympathy. Things are getting a little more normal for me. The girl's family is in shambles, but I'm not that close with them. THere is a reward for finding her murderer, so if anyone knows anything, let me know. I'll split the reward with ya.

I miss everyone around here. I'll be 'round soon.
