Uhh, Tuesday's Gone by Lynyrd Skynyrd?

QUOTE(ddd35 @ Dec 15 2006, 01:04 PM)
first of all nobody  pays attention to the music anway , they are just there for the free booze and to see if the bride and bridesmaids  show some cleavage ..and if there thongs are noticeable thru there dresses  .. as far as music  from what ive seen from ya here  Id say anything by culture club  and  the village people  YMCA  would be a nice song   ... then maybe some of the tunes  that  evade  say are on te brokeback mountain soundtrack   . they say there romantic as hell  ....

but seriously  rock and pop music isnt a very popular choice around here  , they use  allot of country  songs during the cerimony . I know thats not the way it is everywere  but  thats the way it is here  .. im sure you can find some good ballads that will fit your needs  ... the only song that i cared about  was  the chicago bulls theme song that we enetered the  reception to  , other then that I could have cared less  ..  and of course they played the thong song a few times , and booty music  which gets the girls shaking there asses  ...  good luck and  get the sex now cause I guarantee it will stop  ...

that's actually a cool entrance song to use

well I thought so to , like I said there is way to much time spent on music , dresses , flowers shit like that , the most important is you have plenty of booze , sexy bridemaids and lots of boobs ..i have to nieces that are getting married here next yr and there all worried about the music and shit I told them it , really doesnt matter .. its all for show anyway , none of it makes ya any more married , if I had it to do again and I may , I would have had a very private cerimony and a large blow out reception ...

to me though, music is important. it creates a mood. I know when I'm out drinking and having a good time, good music is essential. granted, you aren't going to please everyone, so at least pick stuff that you personally enjoy for your own wedding.

Call me crazy, but I do not want people barfing in the corner, drooling over bridesmaids showing too much cleavage whilst listening to some hick country singer from Bumfuck Tennesse at my wedding.... I have a little more class!

Also, my future wife is one of the girls who is all about the dream wedding,a nd a happy wife, is a happy life!

Agreed. I consider music to be a massive part of my life, and most of my friends and family know how important music is to me. I would actually say my guests would be expecting a certain level of musical standards at my wedding, and they'll be expecting my music choices to buck the trend of tradition choice

ive been to several 8 -10 keg wedding receptions , never seen anybody barf , usualyy im the bouncer that has to get there keys and such , the fact is the dream wedding is a farse , sorry it will make you no more married then if you go to the courthouse and get married , I recently went to a $15000. dollar wedding and those 2 lasted a yr and were divorced , i also just recently went to a $500 wedding and I think they will be together forever , cause they both realize life is simple and you can put on a show but it really doesnt help in the end ..its all about love and understanding , not the music not anything else materialistic , boys just remember your recieveing this from a man thats been married for 18 yrs .
10 yrs from your wedding date you will think back and say WOW that was stupid .. hell we hired a high dollar opera singer to sing in our wedding , i almost puked when she was done , it was not what was rehearsed ...

it is like explaining algebra to the down syndrome :P

I am not putting on a show for anyone but myself. Yeah, I am a beach bum most of the times but believe it or not I do enjoy the finer things in life on occasion. Good food at a nice place, nice champagne, nice surroundings, a great honeymoon.... I would never call that a waste of money. I know it makes us no more wed than those who do at the registery but it is what makes my wife happy, and I'm all for it.

Re the music, like I said. My mates (both guys and girls) will be expecting a level of entertainment and music at my wedding because they know I am so musically inclined. If they walked in and heard cheesy love songs or music that had no relevance they would think they had walked into the wrong room.

I know yer gone but being a jagermeister connoiss---expert, I was wondering if you ever tried jagnog. It's eggnog with jager instead of rum. I thought it would be gross, but having tried 5 or 6 of them, I've discovered it makes the magically delicious taste of eggnog even better. :alc:

That is all.

couldn't resist when I saw this:
AUSTRALIA GETS DRUNK, WAKES UP IN NORTH ATLANTIC
Tired of Being Isolated and Ignored, Continent Isn't Bloody Moving

Sydney, 800 miles S. of Nova Scotia (SatireWire.com) — After what witnesses described as an all night blinder during which it kept droning on about how it was always being bloody ignored by the whole bloody world and would bloody well stand to do something about it, Australia this morning woke up to find itself in the middle of the North Atlantic.

Eggnog isn't as popular here in Australia but I do make a batch every year. I have never even thought about using Jager in place of Rum, I might remember that for next time!!! Actually, i think I still have some mix...

The most christmas drink ever is a shot of brandy and a shot of archers (peach schnapps) in the same glass. You look a bit mental ordering it at the bar but it tastes like your drinking christmas

Thought I'd just air out some grievances:

As anyone who reads this thread would know, I'm getting married, and it is only like 10 or 11 weeks away, I'm excited!

However, when I meet new people (And in my line of work it happens daily) and they find out I am getting married, all of a sudden they turn into Dr Phil. Are you sure you want to do this? Wow, you are really young to be getting married, are you rushing into things? Are you going to be put "under the thumb" of your new wife? I hope it works out for you but Marriage can be a disaster etc etc.

Usually, the ones offering such sound advice are either single or divorced or their spouse keeps them on a leash!

My fiancee and I have lived together now for almost 3 years and have been together 5 1/2 years so i think i would know her a little better than the strangers offering me advice! Just because you wife doesn't let you drink with the boys anymore doesn't mean that will happen to me. Oh, and just because you don't get laid anymore becaue you are married, doesn't mean I'll be putting my cock into retirement just yet. Maybe your wife doesn't fuck you because you have put on 40 lbs since you got hitched!

Had to get that off my chest

well, my first thought after reading this! wait (if you ever) after you have children...a nightmare...all those sooo lovely people telling you what to do! And they donīt have children...I usually let them say what they want and leave, but if they say something stupid or mean I let them know what I think :whipya:

wishing you much luck , history is what most people go by, as a matter of fact its the only thing we have to go by , and in most married peoples history was great sex , blow jobs ,nights out with friends , drinking , I must say once the ring goes on the finger things do tend to change , , why I have no idea ? it just they seem to want to impress us then they get the ring and things are solitified and things just seem to change , i will never give a person advice , just talk of experiences that I have seen first hand ..but as I started out mate , I wish you a happy and fun loving marriage ...
