Nah, this is just a hunch,.... I think his time is preoccupied elsewhere. Almost 2 decades of running this site, I'm sure burnout has reared its head as a possibility. Then there money. It costs money to update a site with all new code to keep it troll proof, and when things cost more money, you have to charge people to login to it, but you want to keep people involved while it's a free upload site, so balancing free versus a cost to join gets really complicated when there other choices out there.
Then there's internet government rules regarding what is porn and what is erotic art.. and so on...

It's just too competitive these days with so many amateur porn sites
