Ok you'd have to be a dumbass if you thikn that the people on the planes and their families were in on it. All I'm saying is that there is lots of proof that the government had enough warning, evidence what have you to know something was up. A the other thing is it doesn't make any sense to me that the gov would destroy one of their own buildings (pentagon) but they was absolutely no evidence to prove that it was a plane that crashed through and whatever it was that did hit it it went thru too many concrete walls to have been a plane. The hole was the wrong size, the noise people heard didn't match up to that of a plane and all footage caught by any camera in any building nearby was confiscated in a matter of a couple hours. Ok grabbing all the footage make sense and like I said I don't know why they would bomb their own  building. As far as I remember, a passenger list of the supposed plane was never found and it wasn't found out where it had come from or anything.
I wonder if my sister still had the e-mail? coz.gif
I have a few conspiracy theories which i may share later. I totally believe in the Kurt Cobain, JFK and Marilyn Monroe conspiracies. Now what does everyone think about the Devinci code? There's a whole bunch of conspiracies wrapped up in that series, especially the book before it called Demons and Angels. popc1.gif

There are a number of sites that debunk the Da Vinci Code. I'm a lapsed Catholic but I think this book/movie tries to make a buck off of the Catholic Church, and Christianity in general as a prop.

The book out and out slandered Opus Dei, which is a quirky, strict Catholic group, but not affiliated in any way with violence, threats, or inside Catholic Church intrigue.

The Mary Magdalene stuff doesn't have a shred of proof to back it up.

The "Jesus as human being" original belief is false, too. All evidence points to the Council of Nicea (referred to in the Da Vinci Code) as deciding how Jesus could be the Son, the Father, and the Spirit at the same time. Not whether he was human or not.

The stuff regarding Roman Emperor Constantine is distorted also. He definitely institutionalized Christianity/Catholicism in the Roman Empire, but did not fiddle with the inner workings or doctrine.

Finally, Da Vinci himself was non political and wouldn't have had a lot of motivation to do the stuff with his art that is alluded to in the book.

QUOTE(evade20 @ May 19 2006, 04:05 PM)
As I'm sure you figured out, you brothers lawyer friend must be a bit daft.  The moon rocks that came back from one of the trips to the moon were treated as more valuable that gold or diamonds.  They cost that much to obtain.  They were devided up among serveral university and government labs to be studied.  Some of the rocks were studied in both the astronomy and chemistry department of the university where I work.  That was many years ago.  In one of the labs where these rocks were studied, they used a hand-crank grain mill to grind the samples being studied into dust.

A number of years later when the proffessor in charge of that lab died, I was involved with helping clean up the lab.  I ended up with that grain mill.  (It now decorates a shelf in my basement, laughing-smiley-017.gif along with othe dust and clutter.)  Of course we went to the moon.

How do you spell " P H O TO S H O P ?"

Here's my take on the "Davinci Code". I listen to an unabridged Cd recording during a long trip. In the first part of the book, the lead character can't figure out a clue that's written in code. He's supposed to be an expert but he's stumped. Since I'm listening to the story instead of seeing the words on a page, I can't see what the words look like in code. Anyway, he calls in the world-class expert. At first, she's baffled by this code. Come to find out it can be read when held up to a mirror! Now c'mon, I could have "deciphered" a code that simple in the fifth grade. Right then, I lost all interest in the rest of the story but continued to listen because I still had many more mile to drive. I didn't even make it all the way to the end before my interest had completely waned. As a historical novel, it sucked. As a work of fiction, it sucked and evidently as a movie it sucks. So overall, I'd say it sucked.

I think it's quite hysterical that so many people can take a fictional work of art and try to apply it as factual based proof of history ie most recently the Da Vinci Code novel. As I personally haven't done any research outside of starting to read the book I won't claim to be an expert on it, but from the first page of the text Dan Brown does an excellent job of portraying a fictional story so that it is read as truth. I don't know if he has claimed that parts of the book that have been "debunked" are factual outside of what was written. Thus I find it very hysterical and laughable that people spend so much of their life trying to debunk fictional material. laughing-smiley-014.gif

The theory that is out there and of which I believe is that their nanny, a friend of Cuntenys was shooting up with Kurt and provided him with heroin with a very high purity to it, alas leaving him unconscious. It was then the nanny who propped the shotgun into his mouth and pulled it, leaving no fingerprints and putting the needles back neatly into the container, locking the door from the inside and escaping through the window.

I believe KC was troubled but was a very different man once Francis was born and would not have left her by herself.

If u look at the Suicide note there is 2 distinct writers. The first and majority reads mainly as a farewell letter, as in KC was about to leave Nirvana. It isn;t until the second part starts that it reads more like a suicide note

Yeah, what's up with that??? People can't enjoy their entertainment because it's not believeable enough or whatever??? If you want realistic, go rent a documentary. I want to be entertained so I succumb to the much needed suspension of disbelief to enjoy a fictional movie or book. If the author does a good job of creating their fictional world and adhering to the rules of that world, then it usually is a good movie/book. Harry Potter is a completely fictional setting, but you are able to enjoy the books because the events are realistic for that fictional universe that the author created.

I think people have a hard time admitting they enjoyed something that is so fake. or maybe they want to feel like they're part of mystery solving themselves so they feel it necessary to point out plot holes. who knows?

By the way, I wonder if those same people are trying to figure out plot holes and unrealistic situations when they're watching porn. confused-smiley-013.gif

It used to be "The butler did it.", but this is the 21st century so now it's "The nanny did it". Women have come a long way, I'm glad they're finally getting their recognition in conspiracy theories.

There's no place like Rome! There's no place like Rome!

This man (on the left wearing a fabulous vintage chiffon-lined Dior gold lamé gown over a silk Vera Wang empire waist tulle cocktail dress, accessorized with a 3-foot beaded peaked House of Whoville hat, and the ruby slippers Judy Garland wore in the Wizard of Oz) is worried that The Da Vinci Code might make the Roman Catholic Church look foolish.

More on DaVinci...the man, not the book or the RC church issues.

When I was in Italy this April, I went to a couple of art/science exhibits about Leonardo and his various forms of genius. I hadn't realized that he could also "mirror write." Chick this link out and try it. Pretty amazing.

Dan Brown is an utter hack of a writer. If anyone wants to look into the whole idea that Jesus actually moved on instead of died on the cross should check out Holy Blood, Holy Grail instead. It's fairly well researched and Brown ripped most of his stuff from it. It's an interesting work regardless of what you believe.

The Loose Change video is such a crock of shit as to be almost funny. It's what happens when people don't research what they're talking about, want to have a specific outcome as opposed to letting the facts dictate what is happening and want to have even more ammo to throw at the current administration ( like they need more shit to throw at these morons ).

You want real conspiracies? Check out JFK, RFK, John Lennon, Martin Luther King, Marilyn Monroe, DIA, S-4 or the Phoenix Lights. Hell, check out TWA Flight 800 and ask yourself why the CIA was involved on a domestic plane crash.

If you want really pertinent conspiracies, check your local headlines.

God, my first post on a boob board and it's about conspiracy theories!

QUOTE(Isaac_Putin @ May 18 2006, 06:12 PM)
My brother dated a beautiful female lawyer -- who didn't believe we landed on the moon.  Can you imagine the 10's of thousands of people that would have to keep that secret???  All astronaughts and the mission control people knowing that they are basically staring at nothing and pretending that the people landed?  And the 100+ people who have gone into space?  The thousands of spaceship designers, and repair personnel, who are basically creating movie props under this theory?

And the moon rocks, what are they?  And space junk, what exactly is that?  And are satellites?  Are they real?  Because my GPS and satellite radio work pretty well for stuff based on a fiction.

I never got a chance to ask her about all this.  My brother broke up with her because she apparently thought that the "myth" of the female orgasm was a massive conspiracy theory, too.

And what about Bambi's moonwalking?????????
