alright, the purpose of this thread is to create a place where anyone can vent about anything... it might be some shit at work, some dickhead on the street, something about society in general that just pisses you off...

i'll start... i hate the city of chicago... they FINALLY get in line w/the rest of the sensible world and pass a smoking ban that goes into effect this month... the catch? they put in a TWO YEAR exemption for bars, clubs and restaurants... great, two more years of me going out and smelling like an ashtray when i come home, having to air my coat out for days afterwards, oh, and yeah, all the shit that i'm breathing in while i'm there... so here's a royal "fuck you" to the city

I was thinking about getting a bike, but now I'm not so sure as I'm ALWAYS running late for work. I've thought about the scooter idea too, but most of my drive to work is about 65+ mph so I'd at least need a bigger cc one.
I've heard the "gay" scooter angle too, but I really don't give a fuck.
I saw a lady driving one the other day and she blew off the line WAY ahead of every other vehicle. Their hp to lb ratio is probably pretty high.
When we were in Hawaii we rented scooters instead of a car as it was cheaper, and they were WAY more fun. I drove around all day, and it cost me $2 to top the tank on mine.
Anyway, as for your rant. I know friends of mine who ride bikes always say, you have to drive for everyone else around you when on a bike because of the amount of moron drivers out there. I HATE HATE when people cut you off or blow past you to save 3 seconds. And then you pull up to the same stop light as them anyway. It would be doubly infuriating on a bike or scooter.
I can't believe you got off and told her that. Not that it was uncalled for. Quite the opposite. Her response was pretty stupid though. She could have at least said, "sorry dude". If it was me, I probably wouldn't have said anything. But I would have followed her to work and pissed in her gas tank.

In the future, to avoid scooter ridicule, you could always accessorize it as follows:

so i was driving around town a few days ago and i see this total tool riding a moped in my rearview mirror... sounds like i'm being chased by a lawnmower... and it hits me, "that poor sap, i guess i know what it looks like to go around life having your balls cut off.  i should put this s.o.b. out of his misery."  so i decide to fuck with him and see if he's paying attention.  i brake slowly to see if he's paying attention, then i slam on my brakes really hard to see if he can stop in time...

pff, i wonder whatever happened to that guy...
