if you have not previously established with a reader how you kid, the above demontrates a fucked up "tone." just because you add a winking thumbs up at the end doesn't mean the receiver of your message takes your comments as a joke. remember that one of the most important parts of communication is feedback. ruby gave you feedback.
your messages are not always received in the spirit in which they are sent an asshole like you should know this
