alright, the purpose of this thread is to create a place where anyone can vent about anything... it might be some shit at work, some dickhead on the street, something about society in general that just pisses you off...

i'll start... i hate the city of chicago... they FINALLY get in line w/the rest of the sensible world and pass a smoking ban that goes into effect this month... the catch? they put in a TWO YEAR exemption for bars, clubs and restaurants... great, two more years of me going out and smelling like an ashtray when i come home, having to air my coat out for days afterwards, oh, and yeah, all the shit that i'm breathing in while i'm there... so here's a royal "fuck you" to the city

I was discussing this yesterday too. I know it is only a small majority of Muslims who react in these kind of ways, but when you have close to a billion followers and only .5% are extremists to some degree, that's still 10,000,000 lunatics out there. I mean, that is the stupidest way to react to every little thing that "defies" your religion. I'm not defending the Pope, but what he said was taken a bit out of context. And then to react by affirming what he said. Are these people retarded??? So if a Muslim leader says Jesus was not the true Messiah, should I got blow up some mosques in my town? The way many Muslims around the world reacted to the Danish cartoon and now this is truly absurd to me. They just reaffirm what many people stereotype them as, maniacal extremists.
I would love to see in these peoples' minds to know what twisted logic is going on in there. That's why I hardly watch international news anymore, just story after story of people bringing the collective intelligence of the world down a few more rungs.

Like I said they make it hard for non muslims to believe anything but they are a bunch of violent extremists!

The Christian religions get satired more than every other relegion worldwide through various forms of media but no Mosques are being burnt, no sheiks being shot by catholics etc

I agree with you and the news. I tend to read the papers so I can self edit any crap that just worries me. I know I am just turning a blind eye but I am sick of seeing the human race slide further into oblivion
