QUOTE(bondiguy @ Nov 5 2007, 11:45 PM) I love playing that song acoustic I love pretty much anything acoustic. All time favourite song to hear acoustic for me is a song that these guys I used to know, they had a band, a metal thrasher band and they weren't very successful and to supplement their income they sold drugs...anyway as 21, or so, year old girls, we hung out there a lot...free drugs, lol...ANYWAY...I was there one time, after smoking this really mellow green and one of them was playing "Wish You Were Here" on the acoustic...and it was almost a religious experience for me...so, tell me...what is your favourite acoustic song to play/hear? 21...good lord, was that really 16 years ago??? Excuse me while I jump off of a bridge.

Excuse me while I jump off of a bridge. Right now my fav acoustic song is the more recent version of "Landslide" with Just Stevie singing and Lindsay Buckingham playing guitar. Buckingham is one of the most talented finger pickers I've heard, and my brother - who also plays, and very well I might add - agrees. Something about his ability to syncopate the rythmn and combine notes from "pull-offs" on the neck with string picking. My father played guitar as well, self taught chord progressions in C, and when he would hear that version of Landslide he just couldn't get over how it was just one guy playing. He always thought there were two. Second most fav, is when my brother plays "Ecstasy" by Rusted Root live. He tears the shit outta that song on his amplified acoustic. It's fucking awesome watching him play it. His fingers blur, both on the neck fretting the notes and strumming.

Ecstasy..haven't heard of that one, but from what you're describing, sounds like brother has a talent!

Excuse me while I jump off of a bridge. I love all songs acoustic... I love turning a heavy song into a laid back acoustic. I like to play a rather soft version of Creep by Radiohead... I find it hauntingly beautiful. There are others but I can't think right now QUOTE(paybarraman @ Nov 9 2007, 06:59 PM) Here ya go Bondi, a pic of my brother playing my dad's vintage 65 Gretsch Chet Atkins Country Gentleman double cutaway. [attachmentid=54548] That is one sweet looking axe dude... fucking awesome

QUOTE(DoubleJ @ Dec 16 2007, 12:20 PM) Kings of Leon's debut album Youth and Young Manhood, great album I saw them live a few years back at a summer festival here called The Big Day Out! I wouldn't say I am a massive fan but they played a very tight set, really good live
