I also love jazz!
Posted by: Boobluver2 Dec 28 2005, 05:07 PM
For great bedroom stuff listen to Candy Dulfer, she blows a mean and sexy sax, as does Boney James. Barry White never fails either! He may be gone, and his music may be older but more people have had sex to Barry White than any other music out there according to music and other surveys! R&B never usually misses either!
Course when your lady says you "can do that for one more song" that is when you need to go to the 'vault' and pick out an extremely long song (longer than airplay songs) like 'MaggotBrain', 'Inna Gadda Da Vida,' 'Low Spark Of Highheeled Boys'......you get my drift!
Then again Crowded House never usually misses either!

I think that

But this would be better
Actually they (or the singer Till) havenīt use
this in a long time in Bück Dich (if I donīt remember wrong, Till and keybordplayer Flake were arrested while performing that song in USA).
this goes well!! and brings Rosenrot-vid to my mind...
And yes, Iīm listening Rammstein at the moment.
I donīt think that Sonata Arctica isnīt Finnish Metal..If you are looking some, you could listen Sentenced (too bad they quit) or Stratovarius. HIM isnīt quite metal but very good! I usually donīt listen Finnish metal at all...I should ask my friends what is good!

I remembered wrong, the band that came to my mind was Indica and they are not metal
Information about SA could look here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sonata_Arctica
I didnīt know that some people think that HIM stole their loveagram from Bam Margera?!? WTF?! Bam just thinks that he is the biggest fan of HIM but I think that biggest fans could be found here in Finland from the people who had listen HIM since the beginning.

Kelly Clarkson is a very under rated performer and probably suffers a bit sue to her being of Idol fame but she is a great singer. "Because of you" is a brilliant song

Right now........Long John Baldry's "Don't Lay No Boogie Woogie, I'm The King Of Rock 'N Roll."
Great old tune with Rod Stewart, Elton John and numerous others before they made it. Had the album (out of print) but they just released it re-mastered on CD and I figured it was another one I had to have in my collection so I bought it. If you like blues, it's a good one!!

I agree, she's my favorite singer. And I think American Idol did hurt her a little, people don't take her as seriously as they should.

Well done to her

have you ever listened to a song over and over again... or maybe even just a part of a song?
lately, i've been listening to the last two minutes of "fix you" by coldplay... it's some of the more mellow stuff i listen to... but there's something about the chords they play, mixed w/the harmonization of the lyrics...
i dunno... i just throw my headphones on and close my eyes and completely forget about the outside world...
does anyone have any remote idea what i'm talking about?

yup... the only downside to that is when the song takes you back to when you were dating someone else and it brings up all those bad/bitter memories...

Absolutely! To this day when I hear Orange Crush by REM it takes me back to this one day at my favourite bar back in university, must have been like 97 or 98. Anyway it was the last day of classes and EVERYBODY was at the bar, this fuckin cool place called Checkers. It was the most casual club ever. You didn't have to get dressed up to go, they played lots of rock and alternative and stuff you wouldn't hear anywhere else. It was a hot and humid evening and the place felt just electric. So I was there and saw all these people that I saw at school or the gym but never talked to. But I was nicely toasted as was everyone else and I chatted it up with all these no-name people I had seen so often. No one was fighting, no one was showboating, just a lot of people blowing off some steam after the last day of finals. Anyway, it was getting pretty late and the DJ put on Orange Crush, and I remember thinking, "It doesn't get much better than this, beer in hand, lovely ladies all around, and not a care in the world." Even now, when I hear that song it transports me back to that night.
Well that's the most thought I've put into a post in a long time and my brain hurts.

R 30 DVD/CD Box set my brother got me for my birthday. Embarrassingly, there is stuff these three men created that I had almost forgotten about.
Then, one night I was road trippin with my brother to one of his gigs in Virginia and he pops a disk in....."Guess what this is...." and Subdivisions comes on....
Right now I cant remember the album title but, Analog Kid, Digital Man, Chemistry, The Weapon....I was just fucking dumbstruck that I had forgotten about these songs.

I'd like them too, but because they only have a small following here (They sing mainly in German) they'll only tour as part of a festival!
It is a set though that I'll never forget
Iīm glad I live in Europe where they will tour almost for sure! I just hope that the lead singer isnīt too old to do that (he is only 43 years old
). And if I donīt remember wrong they only have one song in english (Stripped)
What set have you seen? I have only seen them once in Ahoi! tour (summer 2005).

I saw them fucking ages ago now that I think of it.
It was January 2001 or 2002? That song Du Haste was the big song of the evening. I didn't know a fucking word they were saying but their energy kicked arse!!!

You can see that on their live dvd Völkerball, itīs from the Ahoi! tour 2005. I didnīt knew them before summer 2005 which is bad because they have been here twice before
And Du Hast is still a very good song

I love living in Australia because we are so secluded from the rest of the world, it makes it so beautiful.... but on occasion I do have to miss out on shit like not getting every band to tour Aus.
They usually only come down for like 3 day promo tours, appear on our talk shows, play industry gigs for music execs, plug their new album and fuck off back home!
with a lot of the current crop of "music" these days, it's probably a good thing

8:06am: Rammstein: BückDich
8:10am: Evanescense: GoodEnough

good playlist, but I've never heard of Oomph before.

I fucking love Rammstein!
I saw them at this festival called the Big Day Out a few years back. They had amazing pyro! Flame throwers, they set their mike stands and themselves on fire... truly incredible! And the music is fucking powerful!
In a weird coincidence, when I saw the other band on summ's playlist, Greenday, in concert the drummer burned his drum set to the ground. They also ended up in their underwear and had fans come up in stage and play metallica songs with them. They were soooooo stoned. It was a great outdoor show.
That is all.

You probably don't get the Trailer Park Boyz in the States(one of the funniest shows EVER btw) but you gotta see the episiode where Ricky kidnaps Alex Lifeson. I've rarely laughed so hard in recent memory.

I saw Green Day in D.C. at the HFStival (outdoor show at RFK stadium) in like 1999 or so and they burned the drum kit while Billy Joe sang Good Riddance to end the show. They also had someone from the crowd play the guitar with them for a song. It was a great show!

That is all. Yeah, thats very trueYeah I have seen Greenday twice now. Once was just after Dookie was released, I was still in school and they were still punk. They played this tiny place called Roundhouse Bar at Sydney Uni and it fucking rocked... the second time was only 18 months ago and they played a stadium in Sydney... what a difference a decade can make!

Maybe GD was punk when they started, first two albums were kind of punk but I donīt that that Dookie is, or any other album after that. I think that punk is something like Misfits etc.

I dont know if any of you have heard of a band called Silverchair. If not, I urge you to google them, check out their myspace page or whatever. They have a new album coming out in a month or two. Lead singer and song writer Daniel Johns is a musical genius. In years to come they will be reffering to him as someone who changed the musical landscape.
We have talked about progressive bands. These guys recorded their first full album at the age of 14.... fucking 14! And the music was angst ridden grunge for lack of a better description. And it was fucking good! This will be their 5th album i bleieve and from Frogstomp (first) through Freakshow, Neon Ballrooom and Diorama they have stopped being angry teens and have produced some of the finest rock/pop rock you are ever likely to hear
